Boundaries; GOD given right.
Countries have the right to set boundaries. GOD created the earth and Adam and Eve. From Adam and Eve came the entire human race. After they sinned he put them out of the Garden of Eden and put two angels with flaming swords at the entrance so they could not get back in. First boundaries. Human kind began to spread thorough out the earth.
GOD told the Israelites to go in to the land of Canaan, kill every living thing and gave the land to the Israelites. Boundaries were set again by the Israelites.
GOD gave man the right to posses land and set boundaries. Because GOD allowed this and they were to be respected.
Mexico have boundaries and the consequences of disrespecting them can be imprisonment. But Mexicans believe they have the GOD given right to disrespect and cross our borders and set up housekeeping, live and work, collect benefits as citizens. But they are finding that not to be true. One by one States are cutting off jobs and benefits because the federal government will not enforce immigration laws and no work for them and they are leaving.
Aliens in a foreign land did not have the same rights as a naturalized citizen.

Alien residents referred to in the old testament had more to do with religion and the Mosaic law than be an alien from another country.
They were, in the 1st century subject to the laws of the Israelites given to them by God. It is not to be confused with obeying superior authorities in the New Testament.
Law covenant given to the Israelites were different from the law covenant instituted by Christ. Mosaic law only applied to the Israelites.
In the bible alien resident refers to a settler in the land of Palestine who was content to live among the Israelites, obeying the laws of the land but not fully accepting the worship of Jehovah.

The law covenant allowed for persons to come into the congregation of Israel by accepting the true worship of Jehovah and being circumcised and there were exceptions and restrictions. Egyptian and Edomites could not enter into the congregation until the third generation... Deut. 33;7,8
illegitimate sons and their descendants were denied entry into the congregation to the tenth generation

Ammonites and Moabites were prohibited to the tenth generation...to time indefinite...Deut.23;3-6
