Opportunity: Use power of office to get young girl to suck him off.

Responsibility: Make sure to use fresh cigars every time.

Community: Make sure they don't find out.

Like said, we are in deep doo doo, as these progressives know how to say nothing but it sound pretty and so wonderful that their base falls for it and votes

Looking at Joe Klein's less than flattering "Exposé" of Bill Clinton from over a decade ago, I was struck by these three words Clinton used on the side of his tour Bus and how they have such a different meaning for Republicans.

Bill Clinton: Third Way Principles: opportunity, responsibility, community

In his 1998 State of the Union speech, he recited the three principles of The Third Way: opportunity, responsibility and community--words that Clinton had made the slogan of the moderate Democratic Leadership Council when he became its chairman in 1991. Ever since, politicians from Tony Blair in England to George W. Bush has used the same words to win elections; by 1998, however, the formulation was beginning to seem hackneyed. He made a last attempt to summarize his governing philosophy, offering a three-point "strategy for prosperity: fiscal discipline to cut interest rates and spur growth; investments in education and skills to prepare our people for the new economy; new markets for American products and American workers."
There was no applause The words were too abstract; there was nothing stirring or controversial about them. The Third Way--which challenged both liberal and conservative orthodoxies--could sound like Everyone's Way when massaged into platitudes by a decent speechwriter.

The GOP Version:

Opportunity - for the CREATORS. It's the job CREATORS who manage to create jobs without any nod to the ridiculous left wing idea of "supply and demand". It's no coincidence they are called the "CREATORS". It is only they who deserve government support.

Responsibility - laughable - it's every man for himself. You get whatever you can. No one tells me what to do. I believe in doing what I want and I believe that might makes right and so I can tell others, like blacks, Hispanics, gays and women how they should live. The only responsibility we have is to pull every trick in the book to win elections. We have to protect the "CREATORS" and force people to live by what we imagine is our God's "laws".

Community - code for "Socialism" plain and simple. In my country of every man for himself, the only community I believe in is mine.

I know this will get right wingers to call all kinds of names. But it pretty much spells out their philosophy. The left doesn't need to make up bizarre right wing beliefs. Because they tell us what their beliefs are.

The democrat party has drifted so far left that JFK looks like a Tea Party right winger and the words "opportunity responsibility, community" translate to sanctioned illegal entry into the US and government control over the manufacture and distribution of goods and services (fascism).

Third way democrats=Neocon republicans, the differences are so small as to be insignificant.

When you have one party that's 90% white and the other a coalition party made up of everyone else, making such a statement is laughable. Obviously, the differences are as huge as the difference between white and rainbow.

True...things that do not matter to the MASTERS are blown out of all proportion to lure in the easily distracted.

The only REAL differences between the Ds and R parties are social issues that basically don't matter to all citizens, but that matter very much to SPECIAL INTERESTS.

Seriously R dean, do you NOT see that?!

From the last election, we know that the Chinese funded US Chamber of Commerce gave to the GOP 10 to 1 over Democrats. If they were the same, that never would have happened.

And who are these "special interest"?

For Republicans, it's oil companies, polluters, billionaires wanting to protect casinos and build nuclear waste dumps. If those are the same special interests for the Democrats, then why don't they give to Democrats an equal amount? Seriously, you can't see that?

You call me insane DB, but look at what you wrote:

beats me what he meant by opportunity, maybe he meant get blow jobs at every opportunity
responsibility- I'm not responsible for anyone, but MY FAMILY
community...what would elitist asses like him know about community, they live behind high wall with guards...you call that a community?

You don't know what "opportunity" is.

Then you say you are not responsible for anyone except your family but then say "you call that community"? If you are only responsible for your family, then what to you care about "community"?

And you call me insane. Hilarious.

Community

Yeah, you got that right: the Left TELLS us all sorts of things.

Too bad most of those things are mere self-righteous drivel.

You don't have a clue what "responsibility" or "community" means. And "opportunity" to you is code word for starting threads to antagonize your fellow Americans with threads you start online in the aftermath of some horrendous travesty — economic, political or social.

I doubt you've ever helped anyone clean up after a natural disaster, or given a family money to put them in temporary housing after their home was wiped out in one.

When I help people, I do it quietly. Until forced into a corner. I worked every third Sunday at the Jane Addams center here in Chicago for 15 years until I got too old. I dipped into my savings to help family friends who were wiped out after Katrina and refused to take any money back. I served in the Military, one of my achievements that make me the most proud and I tutored while working full time and going to night school.

Notice, the way I helped people wasn't by giving them charity. Republicans don't understand that. Look at the ones here on the USMB. Americans don't deserve shit. I help my family, **** everyone else. That's just the way Republicans think. Remember cutting employment benefits for those out of work. Remember Republicans cutting food stamps for disabled veterans. Today's Republicans are swine. No other way to explain it.
