America does not have open borders. There are many laws and rules restricting entering the USA and our detention facilities and prisons are full of people who thought America had open borders. Many immigrants have avoided legal repercussions for crossing our borders, but that is not the same as "Open Borders", whatever open borders mean.

Is the border open to incursion from God knows who? Yes. THAT's open borders.

People committing fraud or crimes of any kind for entree into the USA is not an open border policy. An open border would mean people can enter the USA without breaking any laws. If they are getting past the system operated by the Trump admiration it means Trump's administration is failing and incompetent. Has nothing to do with open or closed borders.

The title said open borders-not open borders policy-there is a difference. And I don't believe Trump is to blame any more than you do-it is the do nothing Democrats saying it is immoral to have a wall or detain illegals.

But there is a real push towards open borders by the Democrats. I really dont think they know what they are doing but they know they need to keep certain constituents happy, which is why they are for sanctuary cities, health care for all immigrants regardless of legal status, drivers licenses for all immigrants regardless of legal status, refusal to cooperate with ICE even if someone convicted of a violent offense is put back out on the street.
All these things point to the intentions of the democrat party... as confused as they probably are. Under their control we would move towards open borders progressively a little at a time as concession after concession was made.
We have all ready seen that. I mean look no further than Joe Wilson... the republican who got in trouble for calling Obama a lier over health care..... now today every Democrat candidate openly holds the position that illegal immigrants should have coverage. We are shifting further to the left and further to open borders, no need to pretend, just say which one you want.
