OPCW confirmed the chemical attack in Douma took place

OPCW today issued the final report about alleged chemical attack in Douma on 7 April 2018. It states that various investigations including on-site visits confirmed that a toxic chemical was used as a weapon. The toxic chemical was likely molecular chlorine.

It seems that chemical attack really took place. What for? I dont get it. Is Assad that stupid?

The video of the aftermath of the alleged Syrian government chemical attack on Douma was obviously and badly staged.

Personally, I think US military was just eager to get bomb damage assessments on Syria's hardened aircraft shelters and Russian airframes, and the alleged chemical attack was a convenient opportunity.

If I remember correctly, Russian military units were deployed there after the city was captured by Assad force and they claimed they had found no trace of chemical weapon.

Not surprising, the real question is was it the truth........... The Russians may have simply done a cursory walk through with blindfolds on..... Who knows?
