Black Alumni Group Demands Harvard Reaffirm Support for DEI Efforts in Letter to Garber

Harvard Crimson

A group of Black Harvard alumni demanded that the University clarify and reaffirm its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives on campus in a letter to interim President Alan M. Garber ’76 and Harvard’s governing boards.

The Black Alumnae of Harvard Equity Initiative wrote in its letter that Claudine Gay’s election as Harvard’s 30th president signaled that the University “embraced the link between excellence and diversity,”

What is the link between "excellence and diversity?"

In my humble opinion, those who want "excellence and diversity" should hire more Jews and East Asians. They should not lower standards for blacks.
The first priority should be for the new president to condemn the call to genocide the Jews that has been taking place on Harvard’s campus.

How in Gd’s name can you priotiize hiring and promoting blacks in the interest of “diversity” while allowing Hitler-like antisemitism to be paraded aeound? The hypocrisy is disgusting.

I can see the woke people of Harvard saying, "We need a Black gay woman for President", much like Biden saying he wanted a Black woman for VP.

That was the only criteria.
Black Women are the most bigoted adherants to the Lefty Democrat cause. Why? Hmmmmm..... 75 years of Welfare Checks.

When Claudine Gay was chosen to be the President of Harvard, every news story, every editorial, every column, and every letter to the editor on The Harvard Crimson praised the decision as a great victory for diversity. Virtually every comment posted on The Harvard Crimson claimed that Claudine Gay was an unqualified beneficiary of affirmative action. Several days later every single critical comment had been removed.

Harvard Ranks Dead Last in New College Free Speech Rankings

ANDREW HANDEL, NINO MARCHESE/OCTOBER 31, 2023

Last month, the Foundation of Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) released their new 2024 College Free Speech Rankings. In developing the rankings, FIRE surveyed 55,102 students from 254 different public and private colleges and universities. These students were asked a variety of questions like how comfortable they felt expressing their views on campus, how much they felt their campus administrators supported free speech, whether it is acceptable to disrupt and prevent a speaker from being heard, and more. While some schools shined in the report, many others still have much work to do...

Notably, Harvard University, widely regarded as one of the best schools in the country, was not only ranked last in the report but also earned a score of 0.00 and the sole title of having an “abysmal” campus speech climate.

Social justice warriors think it is acceptable to say, "All Jews must die," but not acceptable to publicly agree with Charles Murray, Jared Taylor, and Professor's Arthur Jensen, Richard Herrnstein, and J. Philippe Rushton.

Yes, and WHY? Why are leftists OK with shouting out “All Jews must die!” but at the same time go on a nationwide rampage for months on end because a cop killed (if in fact he did) a belligerent, defiant, ex-felon druggie Black man?
