Given the divission created by colonization most of the African continent is in disarray. The colonization created long term animosity becaused of the way whites divided various tribes against each other. Had Africa been left alone, there would not be such problems.

For example Zimbabwe was Rhodesia. A British colony created after Cecil Rhodes cheated King Lobungula in an agreement about mininig rights. That was the beginning of the problems in that region. All the colonial powers did was suppress the internecine violence already in progress when they arrived. The hatred’s just simmered under the surface until the colonial powers left, then came back into the open. The Europeans didn’t cause them.

He's right Christian missionaries tried breaching anti-slavery to the natives and got nowhere it was the British Army that ended slavery in Africa. The British anti-slavery movement's motto was the end of slavery in Britain, the empire in and the world, they came pretty close. But like most idealistic movements that preach virtue it collided with self-interest and went to hell. That self-interest is a ***** it's only human nature; everyone does it including Africans.

I remember my father-in-law saying don't trust no idealist the road to hell is paid with good intentions; The older I get the more I think he was probably right.

It sure hasn't worked out for the most parts a sub-Saharan Africa the place is a godforsaken mess. Everyone wants to leave, no one of any ability wants to be in Africa.
