As is usual in Germany and the EU, there are of course rumors that Russia could be behind the attack. I lack a plausible motive, but am happy to be instructed. Can't Putin just turn off the gas if he doesn't want to deliver? A logical explanation would be that he would be released from contracts with defective pipelines, but the question remains what should motivate him to reduce his revenues.

Some people are suggesting the US - then they will achieve their desire that Europe does not get gas from Russia. I think Poland thinks this and I have seen on other forums people who also do. When you get three blowing up so near each other it is unlikely to be an accident.
