One Year Ago Today I Ruined My Life

One year ago today, on August 24th, 2024, I was freshly back from three days at the Democratic National Convention.

Her story is very much typical. The Democrats allow absolutely no deviation from their group think/group speak. And will go after and attempt to destroy any defectors.

Even some of our Patriots cannot stand to hear any dissent from whatever issues they support and will excoriate, dismiss, reject, cancel, denigrate their own who dare think for themselves and come to a different conclusion.

I have been called unspeakable names and accused of ridiculous crimes by a close family member who--mostly under the influence of alcohol--couldn't stand that I am a Trump supporter. But she is a hardcore, dedicated, radical leftist with a TDS infection as serious as many of our USMB members. I expect those people to hold me in contempt, to be hateful, intellectually dishonest, to try to be as insulting and hurtful as they can.

It is far more disappointing and can be actually hurtful when it comes from our own side though.

Liz Cheney is a dishonest, unethical, malicious professional politician. And yes she would have a lot of problem with my support for President Trump's vision and policies.

Nevertheless, even she voted for those Trump initiatives and policy about 90% of the time. She is no patriot. But she is no Democrat either. Just a really bad representative of the Republican Party.

In truth though, as much as I despise what she did and find her thoroughly unlikable, if my choice was to vote for her or a Democrat, I would hold my nose, choke back the vomit, and vote for her.

I vote for vision, policies, concepts, purpose, values, possibilities, a strong, free, prosperous America. Not the person.

I was for Rand Paul (hoping for something different and Good) in 2015-2016. Then I actually saw the Golden Escelator ride and I began to pay attention. I was the first at USMB to label him President Trump as I watched Jake Starkey and the loons say "it can't happen" "he can't win" day after day for what seemed like ten years as he climbed and climbed in the polls.
