You list all the very same BS crime solutions which brought us the high crime in the first place. We wouldn't have high crime in the cities if democrats hadn't let crime get out of control in the first place. Now we have to come down with a hammer because, even now, democrats refuse to rein in their crime. To you it's all about criminal's rights and social injustice. Meanwhile, 81% of Americans are just plain fed up with all the crime and don't want to hear "but crime is down" as it still rages on.

Curfews could possibly be necessary at times under certain circumstances but if the criminals were already locked up, we wouldn't need curfews then, would we? If we kept criminals off the streets we wouldn't need to try to keep guns away from them. Why let criminals wander the streets, even if they don't have guns? Why infringe on the 2A rights of law abiding citizens in an impossible attempt to keep guns away from people who shouldn't be wandering around freely in the first place? That's just stupid. Seeems to me I vaguely remember we tried outlawing alcohol before. How'd that work out? I still find it crazy you want to outlaw alcohol but drugs are OK. How stupid is that?

Well there we go. The effects of alcohol are very similar to that of drugs and it is a common element in many crimes. So eliminate drugs and alcohol. Crack down on anybody in possession of either and then crime goes down. Do you support that?

And yet this is EXACTLY what the left did during Covid where we had to get big daddy's permission to go out in public by getting vaccinated. We had to show big daddy our papers or we couldn't go to work, school, church, or even to the grocery store without big daddy's approval. On top of that, we couldn't even have 10 friends and family over to our houses because big daddy wouldn't approve and friends, family, and neighbors were encouraged to rat them out for having a get together, just as they did in Hitler's Gestapo.

I answered the curfew question. Sometimes they're necessary, depending on the individual situation. I don't favor them everywhere all the time. No one does.

There is a crime problem in most American cities. That’s what happens in population centers and impoverished areas. I’m wondering why governors of res states are sending their National Guard troops to help in DC when they could be deploying them to their own cities. If this commie militant tactic is the magic formula to fighting crime that the right is supporting now why are all the red states doing it. There are plenty that have high crime cities than DC
