Post one interesting fact about yourself that you think no one else (at least on this board) would know and that you don't mind sharing (this avoids personal conflicts, etc.)

My interesting fact: I've written a short screenplay in German and am currently working on another German screenplay.

My interesting fact: I have 34 Bob Marley CDs, five Marley t-shirts, one Bob Marley club shirt, two Bob Marley songbooks, and I have lost several other various Bob Marley fan items (posters, stickers, etc.). My screen name on Yahoo used to be bob_marley_protege.

You socialist bastard. :firing:

I was a 4-year marching band and orchestra member throughout highschool.

I've been psychologically conditioned against feeling pain during exhertion. I keep trying to take up jogging, but my hands are a bit scarred up from all the times I've fallen flat because I couldn't feel my legs about to give way. Oh, and once I turn violent, your submission and my inability to move are the only two things that will stop the fight, as I can't feel any painful deterrants.

Btw, nobody believes me when I tell them this, but if you ask any psychologist, your brain will do this in extreme situations (such as being forced to run on a broken leg, in my case) as a survival instinct. If the causing condition stays in place long enough, the brain conditioning becomes permanent.

Hey! I played electric bass in marching band. I was king of the nerds. All the nerdettes totally wanted to get with the rockstar.

How does one march playing electric bass?

I'm only slightly jealous...

I talk to myself, out loud, when nobody's around. And, I never was really conscious of it until about a week ago when my roommate caught me doing it. The (awkward) conversation went like this:

Him: Who were you talking to?
Me: (confused) What?
Him: I just heard you talking to someone.
Me: Oh.... (realizes) myself.

I didn't really write "The Communist Manifesto".... I had a ghost writer...

ok just kidding....

I was an only child until I was 16, when my parents had my brother. Over the years, we've managed to stay close and I was best man at his wedding last summer.

I also have a child with a form of autism known as "Asperger's Syndrome"

My father's parents both died on my birthday (November 30th) ten years apart. The chances of that happening are 1 in 48 million

Let me guess... you can't stand Bob Marley...

Hey, me too. Except I was 18 when my sister was born. I also went to 11 different schools and probably moved twice as many times.

Well, at first they had a radio transmitter that I plugged into, but it wasn't very good and made me have to play a beat ahead of the band in order for it to synch up.

So instead, they put me in the pit. But I didn't talk to the pit kids; they were weird.

Hmm. At the ripe old age of 29+7 (still can't put the two together), I got my first non-ear piercing... :thewave:

I was paid $28 (net) by MGM to appear in the Feature Film "WarGames" starring Matthew Broderick, Dabney Coleman, John Wood and Ally Sheedy.

Cool. Did they have jazz band at your school? I didn't pick up the bass until about 4 years ago, so I didn't play at all in high school. Looking back on it, though, I wish I had.

No real jazz band; well, i think there was, but it was more big band-jazz instead of the standard 4-5 piece combo. And we both know the combo is way more fun than being in a 30 piece band.

I'm in a 30-piece band right now. Actually, we've had some turnover, so it's currently 19-piece, plus 7 vocalists. Never been in a small combo, but it sounds fun.
