The only middle ground possible for those two and the R party is in armed guards in the schools.

It's the perfect dodge for those two because the deaths of children can be hung on the dem party for not allowing the armed guards.

This should be a slamdunk for the R's!
And when it doesn't work it can be said that the Dems didn't allow enough armed guards and didn't allow the most trained para-military armed guards that are needed to match the new crop of killers.

But it must be tried at least!

There IS middle ground. The left have never wanted to take it. Republicans have always been ok with trying to find bipartisan solutions to mass shootings that would actually work, while not attacking law abiding citizens of their 2A rights. Democrats have never been in favor of finding something that would actually work and just want to throw as much mud at the wall as they can and hope something sticks. Most of the "common sense" gun control legislation they talk about wouldn't have stopped the huge majority of the mass shootings we have had. But democrats want to do them anyway so they will feel better about themselves. We need to find something that would actually work but it's stupid to assume that if we had a ban on assault weapons that the person would not have committed a mass shooting and we need to realize that criminals don't follow gun control laws so it is idiotic to think that gun control laws will stop bad individuals from getting guns. All they have to do is steal them and that is exactly how most criminals get their guns.
