Omg, i just found Joe Bidens favorite song!

Good find. Yup, that's FJB. :laughing0301:

"This song is about the sexual assault of a little girl, from first taking the child, to the action. The assailant bribes the child to come to him for sweets and excites her with fantasies of toys and happiness, making a sick reference to male body parts with the line, "toys you've never seen." Once the girl is in his control, he won't let her go..."

Mr. Tinkertrain by Ozzy Osbourne - Songfacts

Would you like some sweeties little girl?
Come a little closer
I'm gonna show you a brand new world tonight
I've got a palace full of fantasy
Ready made just for you and me
Once you're there I'm gonna take you for a ride

I got a one way ticket
To take you to the other side
I got a one way ticket
So come along and don't be shy

They call me Mr. Tinker Train
That's how I got to get my name
They call me Mr. Tinker Train
So come along and play my game
You'll never be the same

Close the curtains and turn out the lights
Beneath my wing it's gonna be all right
A little secret just for you and me, oh baby
I've got the kind of toys you've never seen
Manmade and a bit obscene
Little angel come and sit upon my knee

I got a one way ticket
To take you to the other side
I got a one way ticket
So come along and don't be shy

They call me Mr. Tinker Train
That's how I got to get my name
They call me Mr. Tinker Train
So come along and play my game

Mr. Tinker Train
Never be the same
Mr. Tinker Train
Can you say Mr. Tinker Train? Hahahahaha

No use crying 'cause you can't go back
Now you're here to stay
You can't run, you can't hide
You can't tell me what I feel inside

Mr. Tinker Train
That's how I got to get my name
They call me Mr. Tinker Train
So come along and play my game

(That's why they call me) Mr. Tinker Train
(That's why they call me) Mr. Tinker Train

If you think about or focus on the lyrics it's creepy as fuck. I prefer to just jam lol.

Teenage baby, you're a sweet young thing
Still tied to Mummy's apron strings
I don't even dare to ask your age
It's enough to know you're here backstage
You're jailbait
And I just can't wait
Jailbait baby, come on
One taste baby, all I need
My decision made at lightning speed
I don't even want to know your name
It's enough to know you feel the same
Jailbait
I just can't wait
Jailbait baby, get down
Hey!
Love that young stuff
Tell me baby, oh you look so fine
Send quivers up and down my spine
I don't care about our different ages
I'm an open book with well thumbed pages
Jailbait
I ain't too late
Jailbait baby, get down
Right now

They have used music to incrementally degrade the morals of American youth. Very effective weapon, eh?

What I can't figure out is why so many millions of my peers just sucked this shit up as if it was gospel, but I was always uncomfortable about it. The misogyny of some of the Beatles' lyrics always kind of turned my stomach but it was candy coated with great rhythm and musical innovation, so everybody ate it up.

"Run For Your Life"

Well, I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won't know where I am

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, ah, little girl

Well, you know that I'm a wicked guy
And I was born with a jealous mind
And I can't spend my whole life trying
Just to make you toe the line

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, ah, little girl

Let this be a sermon
I mean everything I've said
Baby, I'm determined
And I'd rather see you dead

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, ah, little girl

I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, ah, little girl

I'm sure that might be true for a few, but most musicians found music as a way of expressing their feelings about certain issues that were/are taboo to talk about otherwise.

Most people listening don't really pay attention to the lyrics, and those who do, usually get those lyrics wrong, so they don't really know what they are hearing, or understand it.

A lot of "rock" bands do what they do for shock value alone. Lyrics aren't censored. Lyric content is not filtered, but it is made "palatable" by making the point of the lyrics vague and unassuming.

A lot of singers/musicians you would never think of as having adverse meaning in their lyrics, actually sing about the things that degrade society and people.........if you read the lyrics and have them defined as to their actual meaning.

This comes down to correct parenting, as most of these problems do. And as we have seen over the past 2-3 generations, correct parenting is pretty much non-existent anymore......especially in todays society.

I like to believe that it's all about parenting, but my mom sucked at it, except for a few brilliant moments.

The idea of a brilliant song with offensive or just plain stupid lyrics still confuses me, but in most cases I try to just enjoy the music. One of my favorite songs ever, musically, is a stunning conversation between Texas Swing and Dixieland Jazz and I wish that Alan Jackson had just left the stupid lyrics out, but then it would not have made it onto his album. I just mentally delete the vocals and enjoy the music. It's just hard for me to do this with some songs.

I think this is why I love opera. No reason to ever divorce what's happening musically from what's happening with lyrics. But then, opera is about nothing but drama and popular music is meant to be about real life.
