Anybody remember the old Coconut Creme Egg that Russell Stover put out every year in time for Easter? It had coconut creme filling and was enrobed in a pale green coating, with a tiny piped icing flower on top?

It was my favorite confection ever, and now I can't even find a vintage photo of it. I'm thinking about trying to make some, just for a nostalgic jolt at Easter. I don't eat a lot of sweets, so I'd have to find some folks to share them with.

Just wondering.

Blah, I hated those things.

I don't remember that in particular, but all Russell Stover has a burst of nostalgia for me! My parents always bought a mid-sized box for all three of us kids at Valentine's Day and put it at our place at the table as a "Surprise" on Valentine's morning. 😊

Fruit and nut egg.

I remember they were about 3X the size of the one in the pic.

That's one of the things I would have loved. Fruitcake too!

Truffle egg is good too. But the thing about the coconut creme egg was that pale green coating. The best! I don't know when they stopped making them.

I recall it well. And favorably.

I like fruitcake but damn those eggs were nasty.....My dad just loved them.

Then again he liked those nasty-ass chocolate drops too.....Blah!

While I don't remember all these different flavors mentioned, I always thought Russell Stovers chocolates and candies were the best.

Chocolate drops were good too and my Mom would often make them homemade. They were good.

But then as a kid, anything with sugar and especially chocolate was rarely turned down.

As for the fruit & nut egg....that's another one I don't remember having, but I did always like the Cadbury Fruit & Nut bar

Sorry. I searched high and low for a picture but couldn't find one. I'm not too sure I ever saw one but I'm sure I would have enjoyed it. My favorite egg candy was the caramel-filled, Cadbury Egg:
