They constantly try to interfere in the free market, passing laws and regulations to benefit their donors. That’s a big reason why many of these big corporations (google, apple, and on and on really) donate largely to democrats. They are buying influence so laws/regulations will be passed that favor them and hurt their competitors.

Corporations are the primary form capitalist organization takes today, and since before the Civil War railroads and other Trusts, not to mention stock exchanges, banks and older “peculiar” American institutions employing human slaves ... created most of the “free markets” you refer to.

Corporations are not even mentioned in our Constitution but they have expanded their rights until today they dominate most commodity markets and society as a whole.

There is no such thing as "free", never mind markets- free enterprise is what "we the stinky tourist" would like to engage in- free is unencumbered- laws, by definition encumber as they are intended to restrict, and they do a damn fine job of it- capitalism offers opportunity, through Individual effort, to garner the resources to compete- capitalism is merely an agreed to exchanging of services and goods with *value* affixed to the tool of exchange, the only influence being the value of the trading tool- when mandated or arbitrarily changed value to the tool occurs the playing field becomes uneven eliminating or greatly reducing competition- congress critters and POTUS's in the District of Criminals write and subscribe to restrictions encumbering trade (competition)- I don't remember seeing that authority in the constitution and in fact, it is arguable, that, in the arena of commerce and trade their No.1 job was to ensure no one district had legal advantage over another- yet, here we are, with citizens who can't think for themselves, thanks in no small part to the lack of competiton in the Public Education system which dumbs down the citizens with Public funds extorted from "we the stinky tourist" mandated by those with the resources gained through unfair practice using, at times, ill gained resources- that isn't the fault of the tool (or the resource) any more than a gun used to kill is responsible for a death -

Biden has not yet been sworn in, and as I said “guns in Texas” is not likely to be either an issue rated high on Democratic or national priorities, nor will guns in Florida or California or anywhere else. Congress and the new President will have a country to try to unite and govern, economic and international problems. Better by far to concentrate on those than hypothesize about the Kennedy assassination ... or possible future ones. Americans want a country run by law, not a banana republic torn apart by civil war and anarchy.
