As usual, not sure which side but it's supposed to be Ukrainian.....It uses 47-round pan mags in 7.62X54r and is a very effective LMG.

I've heard much of the military aid going to the Ukraine from Eastern European countries is simply liquidating old Soviet stockpiles they kept to boost their inventory for NATO. Which seems plausible given the amount of old equipment seen.

The Poles still had a lot in their inventories.

So did the Germans. I imagine most of Eastern Europe is the same. Dirty dogs, boosting their inventory with obsolete equipment to avoid buying new. One of the ways our so-called allies avoided paying their fair share.
