Oklahoma Republican thinks stoning gay people is okay

The smart people among us know where bigotry comes from. No child hates gays until they are taught to. No child hates blacks until they are taught to. AND VICE VERSA.

The only ones I know of stoning anyone are Muslims. I don't recall you complaining about them ACTUALLY doing that?

Well when they advocate doing that Here feel free to make a thread about it.

As soon as they are posted they are moved.

Wait til this "Esk' individual is elected to worry about what he says, many can can qualify as candidates and take a label.

I agree, but how many threads are needed for posts made to Facebook by some raging idiot a year ago and a man who lost a primary almost 2 months ago, and has already been covered extensively on this very forum prior?

when non issues like this are all they've got they have to run with it

Murder in the Bible

Of course you may apply to one of the "innocent" branches of the bible to justify your bigotry.

So lets see just weeks ago we had a story of Muslims stoning someone to death and you compare that to something that happened 2 thousand years ago?

Scott Esk clearly regrets there is a stoning gap between the US and the Middle East, and he would like to close it.

Oh. And you don't have to go back two thousand years to find some right wing Christian zealots executing people. Just ask around Mississippi. They'll explain it to you.

You're confusing me here. Are you saying that smart people are more susceptible to propaganda? Your claim is that smart people KNOW that aversion and discomfort with "otherness" is a learned behavior while experimentation conducted with young children and babies show that they haven't been alive long enough to be socialized into behaviors which manifest as acceptance of "likeness" and discomfort with "otherness" meaning that these behaviors are strong indicators of innate origin rather than of learned behavior.

So let's see if I'm following you - you have to be smart to talk yourself into believing nonsensical positions, whereas dumb people don't have the smarts, by the fact that they're dumb, and so they don't believe nonsensical positions and more readily accept what reality is showing them to be the case?

You are trying so hard.....how cute...

Bigotry is taught. <-----------that simple.

“What I will tell you right now is that that was done in the Old Testament under a law that came directly from God, and in that time it was totally just, it came directly from God,” Esk said.

Doesn't sound to me like he's calling for stoning queers today. He simply stated that stoning them was called for under the old covenant.

Homosexual acts are sin, as per the Bible. Remember, though, that any sex outside of marriage is sin. As previously stated, "he who is without sin cast the first stone".

Fully aware of the origin.....

Do you sin? Should you be stoned? It's not a "top" sin in the big 10...

I'm curious who you think "they" are. This is simply a topic. If you don't think it's a topic, don't reply. Your "NOTHING TO SEE HERE" post show you have no debate about it in a political debate forum.

Think of bigotry like homosexuality, that is, people are born with it.

You might not have realized it, but your baby probably has a racial preference in playmates Â… but itÂ’s not racism.

Researchers at the University of Washington noticed this behavior when studying how babies judge fairness in their world. They saw that babies were more likely to help researchers who look similar or share race with them and will tolerate inequality when the person benefiting had the same characteristics as them.
