Okay, this has me Concerned. AOC May be the Democratic Party's Salvation

You are so right!

Do not moderate ANY of your positions. Especially do not back off from naming AOC and Bernie as your leaders!

Get this hero Van Hollen in there al also, maybe as next minority leader.

You outsmart us every time! You wont even need ballot harvestors.
I know I'm right. You guys have lost 3 of the last 4 national elections and right now the nation is pissed at trump and Repubicans. So you just keep on thinking that you're going to be able to continue race-pimping whites to fool them into electing another MAGA congress next year. Your boy ran his mouth about ending inflation, and he's not going to do it. That is the only reason his ass in in the white house nd he brey made it. 1.5 percent is not such a margin that we need to listen to Republican BS. AOC and Bernie are drawing 20-30 thousand people in rallies in Republican states. So you just go ahead and stay arrogant. But when the midterms come and Republicans are thrown out, don't start whining about rigged elections and chatting. Because the reality of what's going on right now shows that people are revolting against what yu MAGATS stand for.

Are the Democrats still polling at 21%?

The are closing in on Donald and are competitive with the GOP if you will check the elections nationally and state wide.

Polls kinda rise and fall relative to whatever is going on and for both parties. I don't think today's numbers mean much, what will they be next summer and in 2028?

For the democrats, I think they'll have trouble as long as their agenda is uber-progressive. Their best hope is for Trump and the GOP to be seen as responsible for bad news; they are the ones running the show these days, albeit with a very slim majority. If that happens then the GOP will blame the problems on Trump and distance themselves from him. That strategy isn't likely to work in the short run though IMHO, unless the democrats nominate a real loser as their person and who knows who that will be. Their main problem though is that they aren't going to abandon their Far-Left agenda, which isn't supported IMHO by most Americans and most voters. So, I can see a swing back and forth between repubs and dems for awhile, one-term presidents for a number of years.

So - will the democrats shift somewhat back towards the center? They'll say they will but actually doing it is another matter. Let's just say I have my doubts about that. The GOP OTOH have pretty much abandoned many of their conservative principles; will they return to their conservative roots or continue their populist approach? I don't know.

The real issue I have with all this is the top priority to beat the other party rather than do what's best for America. The rest of us are a distant 2nd consideration IMHO. No doubt both sides have convinced themselves that whatever they do for themselves is also the best thing for the country. Sadly, that is not always true.

They were competitive in 2024, if they hadn't deposed the second worst possible candidate and replaced him with the worst.

Politics has long been a fairly even split with both parties adjusting to maintain equilibrium.

But as crazy as Dems are acting lately, they may ruin that balance by no longer being viable.

The polls rise and fall. Right now they seem to be favoring the anti-MAGA forces.

Next year's elections will tell us much more.
