I have no idea if they were harmed. You say they weren't, and I have no reason to doubt that. However, you did, in fact take advantage of your ability to sell the workers production at a higher price than you paid. The workers are the backbone of the country.

But the workers could exist without the employers. They wouldn't make as much money selling their wares individually, and they might have to produce something else, but it could be done. The employer can't exist without employees.

What services? Without buying production from employees, what has he got to sell? If he personally starts producing an item, he becomes a worker. You seem to think I am disparaging the employer/ employee relationship. I am not. That relationship works quite well, and as long as all parties stay within all applicable guidelines, it is one of the main ways the US has become as wealthy as it is. However, it all hinges on or begins with the worker. The worker, not the rich, are the beginning and backbone of our country's wealth.
