She issued her emergency order on March 12 same day as Tennessee, though the TN declaration did not retrict nursing home contact. She issued stay at home order on March 28 vs TN Safer at home order March 21. TN lifted safer at home on March 30, where Kansas extended to May 15th, could be part of it. Whatever the reason, her state fared better. She did a good job with far less cases and a far lower death toll.
