Oh brother, this spells trouble. Actually, it already has.

So he is doing exactly what Obama and Biden did, interesting that you can justify one side playing a game but condemn the other.
But Obama!
But Biden!

You missed the point. Want to try again?

After Watergate, the Presidency Was Tamed. Trump Is Unleashing It.

In the 1970s, Congress passed a raft of laws to hold the White House accountable. President Trump has decided they don’t apply to him.

A power-hungry president had twisted the government into a tool for his personal political benefit. His aides kept an “enemies list” of opponents to be punished. His cronies ran the Justice Department and he made puppets of other agencies that were meant to be independent. Corporations that wanted favorable treatment from the White House were pressured to make illegal contributions to the president’s political coffers.

As revelations of rot in the Nixon administration tumbled out through the 1970s, Senator Lawton Chiles, Democrat of Florida, captured the alarm of the Watergate era: “Nothing will bring the Republic to its knees so quickly as a bone-deep mistrust of the government by its own people,” he said. “We have seen other democracies fall within our own lifetime. Fall through internal corruption rather than outside invasion.”

The Watergate scandal had convulsed the nation. Coming near the end of the disastrous war in Vietnam, the scandal sent trust in the presidency into a tailspin. The sense of shock and shame prompted an extraordinary period of bipartisan congressional activism to impose checks on the power of the presidency.
Nearly all corners of the government were touched by the reforms, which included new ethical safeguards, strengthened protections for federal workers against political pressure, restrictions on the president’s power to unilaterally declare war. And a succession of attorneys general established rules to block White House involvement in Justice Department prosecutions.

Trump Lays Out a Vision of Power Restrained Only by ‘My Own Morality’

President Trump declared on Wednesday evening that his power as commander in chief is constrained only by his “own morality,” brushing aside international law and other checks on his ability to use military might to strike, invade or coerce nations around the world.

Asked in a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times if there were any limits on his global powers, Mr. Trump said: “Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me.”

“I don’t need international law,” he added. “I’m not looking to hurt people.”

When pressed further about whether his administration needed to abide by international law, Mr. Trump said, “I do.” But he made clear he would be the arbiter when such constraints applied to the United States.

Mr. Trump’s assessment of his own freedom to use any instrument of military, economic or political power to cement American supremacy was the most blunt acknowledgment yet of his worldview. At its core is the concept that national strength, rather than laws, treaties and conventions, should be the deciding factor as powers collide.

This would be shocking even if trump were not immoral. It gives some revealing insight in to how he views the world and his place in it. It hate the term "permission structure," though if ever it fit in describing a construct by which trump is completely unrestrained by laws, treaties and conventions, this is it.

"My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me.”

There are a number of words to describe that. Megalomania, malignant narcissist, grandiose delusion. Here are a few more. Dangerous, deranged, perilous, deluded.

Someone who thinks like that is the last person in the world who should be in control of the most powerful military force on the planet. Made worse because the normal constraints placed on any prez by Congress and the SC are almost entirely absent thanks to R's abdication of their responsibility to the citizenry and the Constitution.
I love that it unhinges you.

The Article II powers he possesses do not give him carte blanch to do anything he pleases, as he asserts.

ARTICLE II VESTS THE EXECUTIVE POWER, NOT THE ROYAL PREROGATIVE

Its up to congress and the courts to restrain presidential actions, not the peanut gallery, MSM, or political opponents.

If they don't restrain his actions, they are legal, period.

This post would be funny but you just actually believe it. In the 10 years of Trump on the world stage you fruit loops have made all kinds of predictions, all kinds of hate about him and nothing you claim is proven true.
I kind of think that we shouldn't even be engaging with or responding to them anymore. Just let them run their mouths to themselves and throw tantrums when their politically baited fishing nets keep getting reeled in empty.

C'mon man, I know you know that isn't right. Getting away with committing a crime doesn't make what you did legal.

When is the next election to pick these lawmakers who make "international law?"

Somehow I missed the last one. Well I missed all previous ones I guess. I know I have never been asked to vote for and international lawmaker. How are these international legislators chosen?

You need only understand one word when it comes to Trump, acceptance. For the next three years anyway. He's not going anywhere no matter how much you whine.

We are fortunate to have such a moderate forward thinking president. Not like the last Cold War relic.
Every country should have a pedophile leader who robs cancer charities and operates unwinnable hole-in-one contests at a country club built by illegals from Costa Rica.

Every president is constrained only by his own morality in the second term. In the first, it is desire to be re-elected, plus his own morality.

Is this really news to you?
Democrats have no morality

No, he didn't. The point was that the DOJ were used by other Presidents to go after political enemies. You don't want to acknowledge that because in pointing out that you thought that it was okay when the political enemies were the ones on the "red team" and complaining now, it clearly shows the hypocrisy of your beliefs. If it's wrong, it's wrong regardless of who does it.

That wasn't the point.

We predicted he would use the DoJ to go after his personal enemies and that was true.

As you can see, our claims were proven true.

Here we have another progressive fake expert in psychology. Trumps first year is an astounding success and the Biden excuse makers only have drivel like this to offer.
What do you think of the systemic democrat fraud in Minn and the idiot Walz advocating a literal insurrection?
This year has not been a success by any sane measure.

BS.

This year has not been a success by any sane measure.
GDP 4.3%, DOW record highs, 300000 useless government workers fired, rents down, wages up, interest rate cuts, rate of inflation slowing, biggest tax cut in history for the middle class, Iran problem solved, border closed, 2.6 million illegal invaders deported, crime down, reliable energy policies in place, manufacturing investment at record highs, Venezuela problem being solved, gas below 3 dollars, Massive fraud uncovered in Minn and CA.
MAGA Is working baby and this is damn success which makes your beliefs a total failure
