Kicks off this week.
It promises to be the worst world cup in living memory.
Sky high price gouging and an oppressive fascist regime have soured the experience.
Fans are expecting to get shook down by ICE blackshirts expecially if they look a bit foreign.
If they can get thru customs they will be ripped off by voracious americans who are sinking in the trump economy..
Nobody wants to go there.

The world cup has been held in fascist countries before. Notably in argentina in 78/ The most corrupt event ever before this one.
Its very sad.
But when the most corrupt organisation in the world visits the most corrupt country in the world what can you expect ?

If you’re in Guadlahara and Soth Korea is playing Czechia...are you passionate about the outcome? Nope.

The pricing is obscene though; you’re right about that. They could reduce it 75% and it would have still been the same outcome.

Fun to play but to watch not so much. I have seen some exciting games in the past. Netherlands vs. Sweden some years past I enjoyed a lot. Mexico vs. Japan was also fun to watch back years a go.

In this case, it’s not inflation...it’s appalling greed of UEFA and the stateside organizers. Inflation is the rising of the price as the demand is demonstrated....this is setting a price arbitrarily high at the outset.

I’m about to travel back to Texas again to check on an aging family member--its my turn I guess; I will be steps away from the Houston venue Reliant Stadium. So I set an alert on EBAY for some tickets that some joker was trying to sell for $3,000 USD each. I got an alert the other day that the price had “dropped" to $1,200. LOL. Maybe if it’s at 200 I’ll buy because I like the Dutch and Sweedish teams. Viktor Gyorkes (sp?) is a straight up stud.

They are using something called dynamic pricing. Its a racket for ramping up prices.
I believe its illegal over here.
I was in Glasgow a few years ago watching fans beat up a ticket tout.
He was asking a premium and that was a big no. ******* parasite.
