Odd food combos that you like

Applesauce and Crackers.

When I was 4 or 5 this older couple across the street used to watch me while mom was at work. About the only thing I remember of them was they gave me applesauce and saltines for a snack.

Of course my tastes are more refined now so it's applesauce and Club crackers.

Funny we never thought of that when we were kids. We had sloppy joes for school lunch a lot, but in the Midwest we called them barbecues.

There is a Fish and Chips place (Mom & Pop Shop) up the road on 17 in Yorktown that does great feed.

It was a Friday night thing for us for years. There's only three left now.

They had the best Malt Vinegar for the chips.
