Ah Astoria, some of the very best clam chowder in a restaurant on a wharf on the river; we could see the bridge across the Columbia. Next day we drove across that bridge and up the coast of Washington to Port Angles. Great trip, ferry to the Island and drove north to Kayak out of Sidney on flat water. BTW, a very English bakery in Sidney (my wife wants to go back for this reason) really great stuff, none of their stuff is coated in yucky white sugar stuff; real fruit as the sweetener, hot and fresh. Yum.

So if you can find some photos of the surf with riders on the Oregon Coast, please post them. My avatar is from Mavericks. I found some really cool surf which breaks off he Fort Point almost directly below the Golden Gate Bridge. If I can find them I'll post them.
