Obomination: Gasoline To Hit Labor Day Record Price...

If Mittens is elected he can do nothing about the price of gas, which is controlled by other entities, buut not the president, it called the econmics of supply and demand, just what repubs really hate when they have to pay more for captalistic markets.

Whatever, silly Obamabot. Enjoy your record high Labor Day Gas Prices you big dummy.

I take it easy and don't worry about the little things.

It's not a 'little thing' to many other Americans.

When the prices go up, Presidents say they have no control which is true, they don't. But when they go down, they take all the credit.

Guess what Obama would do if he was still around when they drop...which he won't be.

I must disagree to a point his policy does effect the price of gas. With a stroke of a pen presidential order open up the strategic reserves or resend offshore drilling bans and watch the price come down. obama does not want to do this he does not have a problem with high gas prices, his on;y concern has been how fast the prices go up.

They have a hell of a lot more influence on the prices than you realize Beretta. They can approve drilling, open oil reserves, make deals with other nations, etc. In fact, I would say they are responsible for about 80% of where the prices are.

The fact is, Obama has openly admitted that his policies would cause engergy prices to sky rocket because he wants to push people towards green energy (and since the cost of that is in the stratosphere, the only to do it is to make traditional fuels cost just as much).

The Democrats DEMAND Obama get credit for the Stock Market when the DOW is up and when gas is down...

When it goes the other way the DEMS come up with a bunch of excuses saying Obama has no control over gas prices going up or the market going down.

These people suk big time, they don't even flinch at the BS they throw around anymore.:eusa_hand:

So what would get you all jacked up moon? If the highest debt in US history, the highest period of +8% unemployment in US history, and the highest gas prices in US history aren't enough to get you worried, what is? Do we have to have blood flowing in the streets? Do we need to completely collapse like Greece (lets be honest, we already at partial collapse right now)? And if so, don't you think it's far too late at that point to end your "don't worry, be happy" attitude?

Or, are you so freaking off the deep end partisan, that the only response you can give to this kind of catostrophic failure is, "I take it easy and don't worry about the little things"? I'm just asking...

and then Opec decreases production offsetting his releasing the reserves.

What then skipper....

what?

naturally they will drop a little bit, but nothing much and it wont last very long.

Prices will drop after things get moving again in the south....and labor day passes.

What nothing, it's funny how the timing was when Bush lifted the ban and prices came down.:clap2:

Your sentence was a mess and I didn't fullly understand it. Bush lifted the ban on what?

Again what exactly do you want obama to do about a hurricane?

I heard that Obama was ready to stop the hurricane from hitting LA and Miss. But then he decided he didn't want to because he wanted the oil companies to have a little surge in profits over the Labor Day weekend.

That sound about right?

And anybody, if Obama comes out today and says we will drill everywhere in the USA for oil, gas and anything else we can find under ground, how much will prices of gas drop. And for how long. And WHEN will they come down?

This weekend? LMAO.

Obomination: Gasoline To Hit Labor Day Record Price...

Presidents have virtually no control over the price of oil and therefore gasoline. The world market determines the price. When are you people going to get that through your heads?

Yup. Gas prices wouldn't drop at all, really. It's not like you drill a hole in the ground and BINGO! you have oil, and gas prices suddenly drop. It takes years to get a well going, and then once you finally get oil out of the ground, it has to get refined. On top of that, the US exports a lot of its oil. The GOP knows this. They are simply taking advantage of the ignorance of Americans in order to score political points.

lie. presidents do not have anything to do with the price of gas and they make no claim.

You village idiots blame or give credits. Speculators on wall street set price of gas.

That's not what 73% Democrats thought in 2006, why has the opinion changed?
