Obama's Approval Rating Dips to New Low

President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 46 percent, according to a new CBS News poll.

That rating is Mr. Obama's lowest yet in CBS News polling, and the poll marks the first time his approval rating has fallen below the 50 percent mark. Forty-one percent now say they disapprove of Mr. Obama's performance as president.

People are realizing that 2009 was a largely wasted opportunity to focus on the economy by the Democrats, who wasted valuable time attempting health care reform and a Cap n Tax bill.

The liberal Democrat leadership is proving even more out of touch with the needs of Americans than were the Republican leaders during the Bush era.

Quite simply - we have gone from bad - to much worse...

Rasmussen is reporting the same approval percentage.

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.

But, but, but Rasmussen is right wing.....

Obama and Democratic Congressmemebers understand what the polls mean, even if liberals don't. In less than ten months the power to make their sweeping changes is over. Obama has three possible legacies. Health care reform, ending two wars and economic recovery. The wars will continue or end with major failure, both will hurt Obama. Economic recovery will stall and be marked by heavy unemployment his entire term. Health care is his only real shot.

This economy is really getting tiresome - and Obama has done so little regarding actual job creation, folks are fed up.

And less will BE done for job creation because increasing taxes, hindering businesses, etc, is not a job 'help'... nor are strictly government jobs that are reliant on bureaucracy and spending taxpayer monies, which will have to come from even more taxation and control (not to mention the red-tape and middle men wasting the money in between, driving the cost of that job through the roof)

Folks should continue to become more fed up with this putzident

But Rasmussen skews to the right. That's what I keep hearing on these boards. If so, then CBS News must also be a tool of the right-wing Republicans.
Right?

Including the Negros who probably make up a good portion of that 46%

RCP has him at 48.3

I know how much you guys love polls, especially when Obama is down, but you know its meaningless, right? No trend towards results in 2012 can be gleamed from polling done now - he's still got 3 years left, regardless of what his approval rating is right now.

This is just a right-wing masturbation session.

No.. more along the lines of just being good to see some others in this country waking up

Nobody is thinking this gets him out of office any sooner or anything of the sort

But nice try

Unfortunately, that isn't happening, at least from polls I've seen. We're still trapped in this two party mindset. Waking up would mean that people realize that both parties are corrupt and shouldn't be trusted with power.

Obama has a higher approval rating right now than His Holiness Ronald Reagan did, this time into his first term.

many do realize the big government mistakes of all parties and of representatives on both sides of the aisle.... many have complained about the mistakes of previous administrations including GWB AND Clinton... many want to see real change... hopefully, they want to see change in getting government reduced and having more fiscal responsibility
