Since when does Obama need the Senates approval to run the government? He simply creates a czar for whatever department and they run it. No Senate approval needed.

I have no problem giving some of the credit for bringing justice to Osama bin Ladin to President Bush and President Obama. The efforts were not accomplished over night. As for President Obama, I think he had to be the one to make the "Go/No Go" decision and he made it. For that he deserves credit. Others might have let him slip out of our grasp for something like the fact that we were technically invading an ally or some other excuse.

Obama's accomplishments? Wow, this is going to be tough, but I'll give it a shot:

1. Authorized the killing of Osama bin Laden by Seal Team 6.
2. Authorized the rescue of two American's being held by Somalia pirates. Accomplished again by Seal Team 6.

Okay, okay... I said it would be tough. But I did come up with TWO accomplishments. I'm still searching for a third... The economy? No, obviously a freakin mess. Energy? Gas at $3.83 a gallon and scheduled to hit over $4.00 by summer. Foreign policy? Eygpt is run by the Muslim Brotherhood and is holding American's, Pakistan is in bed with the Taliban and Al Queda, Iran's going to develop nuclear weapons, and China is soon to be crowned King of the Pacific Rim. So, obviously it's not that. Health care? With Obamacare's effect on small businesses simply crushing any recovery and health care costs up 10% just since he took office, I don't think so. Justice? Holder is raiding Gibson guitar, letting the New Black Panther Party run amok, and Fast and Furious, I don't think so. Entitlements? Geitner goes to capital hill yesterday and says that there is a definitive long-term problem with all the coming baby-boomer retirees and that the administration has no solution to the issue. Course, he also said that they don't have a solution, but they don't like the Republicans soloution either. So no solution is better than the Republican one??? So no, entitlements are not an accomplishment. Leadership? Okay, I could go with this one, but I would need just ONE example of leadership on something... anything...

And the crickets chirping are so very loud and annoying...

Have you any knowledge of Harry Reid letting perfectly good bills die in Senate committees simply because they were generated by Republicans?

Got news for you sweetheart...Congress pretty much runs the country while the President is more of a figurehead with only the power of the veto and the power of executive orders.

The president reports to congress....not the other way around.

You are freaking clueless.

you actually incorrect. congress does not report to anyone but the people. since it is elected by the people. it is the same with the president, he reports to the people as well.

i believe what you are referring so is the role of each branch. in that congress makes the laws while the executive branch enforces the laws, and the judicial branch interprets the laws.

the president does have unilateral control of certain things, that he does not need the approval of congress for. and vice versa. but the president is not considered a figure head. that is reserved to people such as the Queen of England, since she can not directly enact policy. but in no way is the president subservient to congress or congress subservient to the president. a quick read of the constitution and roles of government prove this.

I would agree with you here.

I don't believe that at the time he received it he had earned it. As to whether or not he deserves it now, well, it would have been more appropriate for the committee to have at least waited a year or two. I don't think he has done anything to deserve it yet either, but still it would have been more appropriate.
