Well, first Trump Plauge made it harder for enumerators to go house to house to collect data from the 30% of so who don't turn their forms back in.

Secondly, Trump's dickering with the question on immigration made immigrants less likely to participate, so they were undercounted

Wasn't really the issue, stupid. The problem was, people didn't sign up to be enumerators to go out and count, and of course, getting an accurate count was difficult at best

The problem with the Census is that it requires each and every person to be counted, rather than just do statistical models that would be far more accurate.

Border protection and immigration enforcement should have no impact on census. Other nations enforce their borders and immigration laws without impacting data collection on their population. Don’t blame Trump.

If it is true there's a whole world of enemies that would love to take advantage of the situation of ambiguity from the executive branch. So in the interim it would be best to keep it all secret.
