Right Side Politics Examiner: Obama Received a $101,332 Bonus from AIG

While congress is holding hearings today and hammering AIG over these bonuses the question needs to be asked should the president return the money he rec'd?

Where's the outrage and the mainstream media?

Thanks for sharing your fantasy with us.

Now for the reality:

TV Examiner: Today's faux cable news story: the $101,332 AIG 'bonus' paid to Obama

In fact, according to OpenSecrets.org, now-President Obama's campaign received a total of $101,332 in campaign contributions from a division of AIG. And his campaign wasn't the only one. Republican rival John McCain's campaign also received substantial donations from the company. As did many other presidential hopefuls.

So the word "bonus" is just for show. And as far as the inevitable "hypocrisy" charge against Obama goes....well, you could argue that the fact he is publicly railing against the company despite receiving the donations illustrates nicely that he can't be influenced by campaign contributions.
