The "Rich" always pay more money because they make more money. If everybody is taxed at a 10% rate then the guy making $10K a year only pays $1K in taxes while the guy making one million a year pays $100K, That is a difference of $99K in case you have trouble with math.

We spend more money just on government in this country than the GNP of all but one other country in the world according to the CIA Fact Book.

The problem is we don't have enough income. Bush/Republicans/corporate America are responsible for the largest economic crash in history (2008) $560T world wide, and $20T in the United States.

By the way I have a "middle class" income and I pay more than 7% in Federal income tax and my total Federal, State and Local tax bill for the years is a tremendous percentage of my income.

When I was working as an engineer and my wife a school teacher before we retired most years it took my wife's entire income (and sometimes more) just to pay our combined taxes for the year. How can any American family get ahead when so much money is taken away from them for the cost of government?
