Obama gets taxpayers to fund campaign drive

It's NOT personal responsibility when it is subsidized or even given to you.. it is not personal responsibility when you are forced to buy a service purely for existing... you have zero choice in the matter (well, at least until you are a big donator to the campaign fund)

Personal responsibility would be paying for it and doing it all on your own, or if you do not do it you take the responsibility of the bill all on your own

Idiot

Newflash, you're already paying for all of those people without insurance. This doesn't change any of that except potentially make it cheaper for you by allowing more people to pay for insurance and thus less people for you to subsidize.

I know you can't think in any terms but black and white but try it for a change.

It is not making it cheaper.... Multu-level bureaucratic bullshit is not cheap at all....

Nor am I forced to participate.... I can go to a private doctor... I can go to a private cancer treatment center, etc....

Hell.. for me over the past 10 years, health insurance is no better than a ripoff or failed gamble... paying wayy more in (especially considering the employer contribution that I would rather have in extra salary) than I ever take out.. even with emergencies on occasion for kidney stones, minor broken bone, etc....

And you are not allowing more people to pay.. you are allowing more people to participate at the expense of others... you are also forcing others to pay who normally don't spend on insurance and pay for many health things cash... you are also forcing companies to participate (unless, as stated, they are somehow big campaign contributors)...

Not to mention what precedent does this start of government forcing you to buy a product or service for simply being alive

Sorry you haven't had to "see the benefit of health insurance coverage" yet. Wow, the fucking short sightedness of you is stunning. So because you have been lucky enough to not be hit with a major illness you consider it a "failed gamble". I'd call that a good thing, but of course you wouldn't because you're an asshole....all there is to it. Why don't you go work around asbestos for a few years or at a chemical plant and then let us know how finally you can see the value of your insurance. Failed gamble...lol. What a fucking dick.

There are plenty of people out there dying from terrible diseases who do see the value of their insurance and there are plenty of others who wish they could afford the life saving care that you so callously take for granted. But what do you care about other people...you've made that perfectly clear. Fuck them I got mine. Right?

Fuck you for making me defend insurance companies.

Fuck you for taking for granted what so many other people only wish they had.

Fuck you for being you.

Your idea of a fun evening is a bottle of Thunderbird, a bag of Cheetos, and kiddie porn.

You're turn.

Thanks for the good news. Obama is raking the money. Perhaps the Kohl brothers will make up the gap.

Sweet Jesus, it's not his money, it's taxpayer money. Are you really that inept or is it all a joke??

And the money is being used to promote a federal law. Unless the advertisements say, 'Vote for Obama', your outrage is pointless. Get a grip.

That does sound pretty good. Well minus that one thing obviously.....I don't like Cheetos.

Yea we know about that law, the one only a few wanted, the one shoved down our throats. It's been around for a while, funny the ad campaign and $20 million are happening now.

What if SCOTUS shoots it down, then what about the wasted 20 million?? If they don't Obama gets a 20 million campaign contribution, compliments of the US Taxpayers.

HHS has just signed a 20 million $ PR Contract to promote Obamacare. Great timing, in the middle of his re-election campaign. That's 20 million of his campaign war chest he won't have to spend.

<snip>
The Health and Human Services Department has signed a $20 million contract with a public-relations firm to highlight part of the Affordable Care Act.

The new, multimedia ad campaign is designed to educate the public about how to stay healthy and prevent illnesses, an HHS official said.

The campaign was mandated by the Affordable Care Act and must describe the importance of prevention while also explaining preventive benefits provided by the healthcare law. The law makes many preventive services available without a co-pay or deductible, and provides new preventive benefits to Medicare patients.

HHS signs $20M PR contract to promote healthcare law - The Hill's Healthwatch

Great...another $20 million flushed down the toilet. All to hype up the biggest legislative disaster in decades.

I give that one a C-. Are your parents siblings? Do you ever wonder what life would be like if you'd had enough oxygen at birth? Did your parents ever ask you to run away from home? Don't you love nature, despite what it did to you? Slit your wrists - it will lower your blood pressure. Some drink from the fountain of knowledge, but you just gargled.

Your turn.

I'll give you credit, you at least knew to spell it Your and not You're this time. That home schooling wasn't a total waste!

I went to public school in Minnesota back in the 50s and 60s before your pals took it over and filled it full of crap and began churning out govt trons to indoctrinate our children.

Ahh so when I guessed it was time for dinner before I was way off...you had already had dinner 2 hours earlier. Time for your prune juice and a depends change before bed gramps. G'night.

Yeah, that one. The one passed by Congress and signed into law by the POTUS. The one that is currently supported by about half of the country. So, what if the SCOTUS strikes it down? What if rainbows shoot out of your ass?

It'd be tough, but it should be a choice I have.

The risk I would take if I didn't have health insurance to me is far less risky than all the people who have the choice to eat 3 Mcdoubles instead of a turkey on wheat.

So you don't know how you'd pay? This is not some isolated made up problem I created. Do you even realize how expensive medical care is? And I'm talking about more than just your routine check up.

It should be a choice IF when the time comes that you get sick and can't pay for treatment or don't have insurance by your choosing you are not allowed to receive treatment until you can pay. But that's not going to happen in this country so we need to talk about the reality of the situation and that reality is ensuring as many people who can and should be paying for their medical coverage, are paying, and those who truly can't afford it are helped out by the rest of us. Until then, the "choice" that you so desperately cling to is costing everyone who does have insurance.

Well to me getting treated is more important than having insurance, poor people already get treated at the expense of those who pay their medical bills.

Oh and I'm just speaking hypothetically, I do have insurance.
Speaking hypothetically? Tough guy you are. Put your money where your mouth is. Basically, what you are saying is IF I didn't have insurance...I'd just suck it up. Easy to say when you're safe...don't you think?

"Let them eat cake....the conservative philosophy.

yes.. and your personal situation is your personal situation... no matter what the fuck you say, it is not the responsibility of someone to take care of someone else's expenses.. no matter how good of a hallmark moment it makes or some feel good lifetime movie...

Maybe one day you can try and have an original thought.

Everything you stand for is a hypocritical mess that lacks consistency and merit. You talk a big game but I'd be willing to bet just about anything that you conduct your life similar to how you conduct yourself here. Full of hypocrisy and ignorance. Nothing about what you say actually connects to the real world we live in, and it's why you can never actually back up the crap you post repeatedly.

It's your own fault that your life is so shitty, no one elses. So maybe its time you started to actually work to improve your own situation and not blame those that are even worse off than you are for your shitty situation in life.

It will be a better world when you and your generation of fools go extinct.

Hardly, asswipe

Everything I stand for is in the realm of honor... something you and your fellow lefty nutbags know nothing about

I live, work, play, and thrive in the real world... I don't go around thinking that the world owes me a favor or a handout like in the fairy tale you want to believe does and should exist

The world will be better off when you finally cry enough and drink a hemlock smoothie to relieve your internal anguish... it will be a much better would when entitlement junkies like yourself and those you wish to empower go the way of the dodo

Just because it "doesn't apply" to you at this moment in time doesn't mean it's wrong.

Things are expensive... the best of something is even more expensive.. and the level and quality of our health system is second to NONE (and don't post the debunked WHO report with a basis on a socialized system).... you want the best, pay for the best... do what you have to do to earn it as an employment benefit or pay for it out of pocket with whatever number of jobs you have to work... but in no way should someone be FORCED to purchase it with zero options (unless you contribute to a lefty's campaign), in no way should someone be forced to take on the responsibility for paying the way for someone else's personal care, and in no way should it be popularized that you are simply owed something no matter the situation
