Actually the two biggest polluters are India and China the smoke plumes reach the left coast, China more so than India. If you wish you can check the data on degree of pollution in both countries just google.

Since it is a claim anyone can refute if they are interested this sounds like more "settled science" and general incompetence than a lie.

It's incredibly difficult to believe even as a nominal measure. But in terms of pollution in terms of what we produce it's clearly not true. And we've been going down in that real measure since the seventies.

We should continue doing that, my point is not objecting to it. My point though is that focusing on the US is clearly the wrong priority at this point. Pollution in terms of production across the globe is far higher than here pretty much everywhere

Thread titles being clear are a pet peeve for me, so I totally agree with your philosophy. However, I went back and read it and it seems like a great thread title for his post.

And why would you expect his opinion on what Obama said be your opinion? Clearly the left do attempt to use the environment to just generally further restrict business in general.

And while we may be #2 in nominal terms (which I seriously doubt), we are clearly way better in real terms. Attacking the United States over polution is seriously not the biggest bang for the buck. We've reduced real pollution generation for 40 years, unlike most of the rest of the world
