Obama Administration created more jobs in one year than Republicans created in eight

We were close to economic collapse under Bush

Financial markets were in a panic, Auto companies collapsing, housing prices plummet, Stock Market dropping 7000 points, losing 700,000 jobs a month.........the economy heading for a Depression

Thankfully, Obama showed a cool head and provided that the US Government would stand behind the banks and Auto Companies. The panic subsided..

The Market rebounded 4000 points, auto companies are paying back their debt, positive job growth

Why would anyone want to return to Republican Policies????

Here ya go s0n............................

Congress Want to Raise Taxes, Increase Government Spending
Thursday, September 02, 2010 Email to a Friend ShareThis.Advertisement
Heading into the final two months of the mid-term election campaign, most voters believe that Democrats in Congress want to raise taxes and spending while Republicans in Congress want to cut taxes and spending.

At the same time, most voters believe that reducing taxes and spending would be good for the economy.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% of Likely Voters believe Congressional Democrats want to increase government spending. Only 16% believe the party wants to cut spending:lol::lol:

CBO finds 3.7M jobs created by stimulus - The Hill's On The Money

Imagine that!

Republicans took over a strong economy with a budget surplus and only managed to create 1 million jobs while they were in power.

Obama took over in the worst recession in 70 years and created 3 million jobs

A report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office shows the Recovery Act has increased the number of workers by between 1.2 million and 2.8 million. The CBO also projects that 3.7 million jobs could be attributed to the stimulus by the end of September.

Under Bush for most of his time the unemployment rate was 5 percent. As in full employment. Jobs are not normally created in large numbers under those conditions.

After the disastrous changes to housing rules finally brought the Country to a screeching halt there was no way in the short time he had with that to change the downward slide.

As for Obama supposedly making jobs, explain how the Unemployment rate is going up not down but he supposedly made a million jobs?

Explanation: It's A Big Fat Lie.

I'll return to rebublican policies in a heartbeat. Under Obama, unemployment is up. Foreclosers are up. We have a costly, worthless healthcare plan. We spent close to a trillion on stimulus to do nothing. The debt has mushroomed. We've increased troops and spending in afghanistan and it's spiraling out of control. Obama and the dems ratings have crashed because people have no faith in them

Admit it..

The Bush economy was a house of cards propped up by low interest rates and unsubstantiated tax cuts. Unfortunately for Bush, he could not hold together his house of cards and it collapsed before he could get away

3M less people have jobs than when Obama was inaugurated. When he claims to have created 1M jobs, it's a lie.

The Economic Stimulus which the conservatives trumpeted as creating NO JOBS has been recognized by the CBO as creating over 3 million jobs during an economic resession

That is THREE TIMES the number of jobs the Republicans managed to create in EIGHT Years

I've already debunked that in another thread. A recap:

The CBO's job is to calculate and score budgets, bills, programs based upon the assumptions provided by Congress and the Administration. The Obama Administration provided an assumption that every dollar of government spending has a 1.5 multiplier effect in the economy. Historical figure in wartime are .8, so the Obamanoids used a figure that was double the historical average.

They further distorted the analysis because the money was not spent on manufacturing or infrastructure projects - it went into unemployment insurance and bail outs for state and local government employees. IOW, nothing that would spur economic growth and create jobs.

It's FICTION. It's a LIE.

RW, do you find it odd that the only person that comes to your aid on this thread is TM? Average Democrats know your full of shit, even some of the nuts like you are like "uhh... GL selling that one."

If I started a thread and near every poster could debate me "with links," as to prove their numbers or whatever are not just made up, I would probably at least try and re think my stance. You ob the other have, blinded by your bigotry, racist and partisan behaviors won't even take the time to listen or follow through with your claims...

For instance, you claim Harding/Coolidge's policies did nothing to end the 1020's depression despite it's oddly speedy recovery that was "predicted" by Austrian economics... Then on the other hand you make the claim that their small Government policies created the Great Depression that lasted well over 10 years... What would have happened if FDR and Hoover didn't do what they did RW? Would the US have been in a Great Great Depression haha? How much higher would UE have been than 25% RW?

This is why I call you a Troll. You argue for no other reason than to piss people off, you don't listen and you don't go into the debate with the mindset that you could possibly be wrong.

You called 2 of the MOST fiscally responsible presidents in the last 100 years the MOST fiscally irresponsible... PROVE IT! I wonder if it's even possible for you to find a fringe "I hate Coolidge webpage" out there that could give even a conceivable theory as to how Harding and Coolidge were what you claim.

Here RW, read this, really give it a go. http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/FDR-s-Policies-Prolonged-Depression-5409.aspx

The Free Market: How FDR Made the Depression Worse

More reading for you RW...

I post a lot about FDR because we are seeing something very close to what Hoover/FDR did today through Bush and Obama. Bush started smaller Programs (big but smaller than Obama's version) only to see Obama enlarge these programs to new heights.

History shows that Government intervention at no point had things "under control" during the Great Depression, so I can't see why you would want the same policies done today.

:lol: Nice try---3 million TEMPORARY government CONSENSUS jobs that are being paid for by the taxpayers of this country--really doesn't count as a REAL Job.--

BTW--The Census work is done--and so are the temporary workers that were TEMPORARILY employed to do it--:cuckoo:

yes, well, apparently you consider a net loss of 5 million jobs as a net gain of 3 million.

You must be enjoying the 2% unemployment that Obama created for us all.

You got lift behind, didn't you?

By your own logic Bush could be credited with the creation of 30 million jobs that offset the 28 million job losses caused by Clinton's dot com bubble.....since it is all just speculation and all.

See how that works?

15th post
Time top apply logic so the idoits can see it......

Reasons for loss of jobs during the Bush years:

Technology:
Boolean search engine development and implementation resulted in no longer needing extensive research departments
Phone technology and advanced voice mail resulted in no longer needing receptionists and switchboard operators
CNC Machining replaced manual machining resulting in needing 1/3 the machinists, no set up people, fewer QA people
Advanced computer graphics technology resulted in the need of smaller or no creative staff
Advanced copiers resulted in smaller copy room staff
E-mail minimized the need for large mailrooms
Etc......

Outsourcing:
A small minority of companies outsourced to other countries but such activity coupled with international policy resulted in many foreign plants opening up in the US

Yet despite the loss of the above referenced jobs...

Unemployment barely moved for the worse over the first 7 of 8 years
the population grew by 25 million (per RW's claim) yet the unemployment numbers did not change for the worse

And still 1 million net jobs were gained.

And how could this be?

The tax cuts put more money in the consumer's pockets resulting in an increase in the demand for goods and services.

Enough with the spinning of the data.

The truth is the truth.

meh...................

Reality is 95% perceptions s0n!!! THAT is the truth...............

While the public might eye the GOP with an aire of skepticism, right now, the Democrats look like even worse fcukk ups!!! Indeed..............most people view life as what it is................the choice between suck and suckier.

Right now, the public views Democrat public policy on issues economic as the suckier.............no matter how many dozens of #posts the k00ks throw up on this thread!!!

OH..........and ps.............most companies outsource due to the overwhelming weight of government regulations, whose costs to business is staggering!!! Of course, we all know which party never met a regulation they didnt shoot a load over!!!

Read HERE>>>> Government Regulation: Enemy of Individualism about the disasterous effects of regulations on business and economic growth. For example..........Democrats LOVE the minimum wage because its popular to the stupids of society = votes. But if you look more closely at the minimum wage, its an absloute joke and a bonafide jobs killer!!! Its one of the stupidest idea's ever invented in the history of the world!!!

I'd love to see the particulars , a job "created" by public funds on a road in my area for example may have taken one from elsewhere such as the dirt contractor who DIDN'T get a road construction project.

Public jobs are temporary and although some things can be looked upon as needed such as a new bridge being built, they rarely create lasting wealth, of course there are exceptions such as a road or damn that produces electricity.

All construction jobs are temporary. You complete a project and technically have no job until you start your next project. Public works projects have long term economic impacts by improving the infrastructure. Roads, bridges and maintenance are all vital.

The bigger question is where were all those Republican jobs we were promised? What happened to the "trickle down" from the Bush tax cuts? Republicans are supposed to be business friendly and create more jobs.

What happened? Why was 2000-2010 a lost decade for economic growth?
No they are not. Remember I am in construction. Asswipes like you make absolutely no sense.
