There an Amazon Deals link at the top of the page. Does USMB get a cut if we buy something from link?

I've never understood complaining about stuff like this. As long as it doesn't cost me a damn dime why would I care? This is a BUSINESS. It costs me NOTHING.

Btw, I don't see it on my phone which I use 99% of the time but I do on my laptop

I never buy from Amazon because of questionable third party sellers and counterfeit parts.
Never, ever buy car parts from Amazon, most are Chinese counterfeit junk.
I've found amazon is fine for some things, like headlight and taillight housings. The worst I've had with those is having to change the wiring harness that comes with it with the one that was on the car so I don't have to buy all new bulbs, but yeah, anything you really need to trust to fit I wouldn't get off there.

Who complained?

Mostly just junk from dicey Red Chinese companies. It just funds terrorism and slave labor to buy most of the crap on there.

Agreed. My mechanic uses Rock Auto where the Chinese counterfeit junk is clearly labeled.

NAPA is about all there is left. Here, there's a NAPA parts store right next to some other NAPA sales building which is itself right next to a huge NAPA distribution center.

It's a perfect setup.

Oh, and there's a NAPA tire center about a quarter mile down the road.

Though I have a local tire shop I prefer.

I rarely need parts. I don't drive like a drunken teenage maniac with its hair on fire, hence low maintenance costs.

I work part time for Amazon. My job is to break down boxes for Jeff Bezos that my wife orders into the house almost daily - no pay and weekend work is expected. I have no idea how she needs so much stuff. I never order from them myself - they are evil.

Bezos uses a lot of cardboard.

I got a cardboard box around another cardboard box that the product came in.

You don't have to ''drive like a drunken teenage maniac with its hair on fire'' in order to need/want to purchase car parts.

So I think you're over-acting there.

Some people are just car restoration hobbyists. Many people, in fact. Millions of people...

Mostly just bad drivers, is all. My last car I went 15 years before I needed a brake job. When the power steering went out I drove it anyway, and when the air condition blew out I couldn't find one in a junk yard around here, so I just sold it and bought a new one. It lasted me over 23 years. Two batteries, 1 set of tires, a headlight bulb, one tail light bulb, a lot of oil filters and air filters. Nothing from Amazon. IF Obama hadn't done that stupid 'cash for clunkers' scam there would be plenty of used parts around for older cars.

You get Chinese counterfeit junk from CarQuest, NAPA, AutoZone, O-Reilly's, Pep Boys, RockAuto, and the rest. I'd be surprised if any auto parts are proudly "made in USA."

I've fared pretty well with American made parts from NAPA. Far better than the rest of the mainstream vendors, at least.

You don't have to wait 6 years to exchange them, if you're lucky, when they don't work or if you get the wrong part.

In some areas of the retail world, I buy American made (guns, tools, etc.). But when it comes to most auto parts, I get tired of looking for actual, American made parts. They're few and far between. So I just buy what I need to fix the problem and move on. I especially gave up when I started seeing "Assembled In America" on the label. That simply means the parts were made in China or some other foreign land.
