I had the opportunity to meet with an official at the NYS Board of Ed and we got onto the topic of the progressive decline in education in the State.

She said, "guess how many school districts there are?"

Me, "100 to 200?"

Her, "Ha! You uneducated fool! (She didn't really say that) There are over 700 separate school districts!"

I looked it up, NY has 61 cities and 533 towns for 594 municipalities but somehow has 730 school districts. There are 62 Counties in NY.

The average NY School superintendent, makes $110,000, average teacher makes $76K.

Why does a State need more school districts than municipalities?

Reasonable Fix
We should probably have 1 School district per State (we have computers and the Internet now)
Eliminate the Fed Bd of Ed, stop subsidizing college, stop finding bureaucrats

Wait for it..............................................................................................

You seem to be needing attention for yer deficiency.
You seem to be are insufficient so many ways.

But your lack of brain function and your lack of coherency are glaringly obvious.

You dropped yer colon crying so hard.
Again, Goonblow is babbling, incoherent and lying.

When he has nothing of any intelligence to offer, he posts all the more.

Obviously, I have caused him to suffer his typical butthurt. Only, this time, it’s worse than usual.

I’m ok with that. 😎

The number of administrators in NY school systems has grown by almost 88% while the growth in number of teachers is a bit below 9%.

Moneys are being directed to vile dem led bureaucracy instead of to the students it's supposed to serve.

Blue school systems have turned into another vile dem grift stream with the teacher unions leading the way.

Of those 700 districts there are only 75 that are union free.

What does your state of disaster have to do with the federal government?

894 school districts
There are 894 school districts in the state of New York.

As for the converse:
67 school districts

The federal government subsidizes schools under Title I and special education mostly. Regular ed students get virtually nothing from the feds.
"Breakdown of New York Public School Funding (2021–2022)
  • Federal funding: $6.1 billion (7.3%)
  • State funding: $30.2 billion (35.7%)
  • Local funding: $48.1 billion (57%)"

A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon we're talking about real money.

It's absolutely criminal that the States spends so much money on "education" and gets such awful results
