Just wondering when Mayor Bill De Blasio will push for funding for Pre-Pre-K classes....

If Pre - K is so vital to the future of the little ones doesn't it make sense to get them into class
even earlier then Pre K....

For me I thought Kindergarten was nothing but play time and naps.
What the hell is going to be accomplised by getting kids into Pre K...

Looks to me like another Liberal feel good do nothing program that spends money...
DeBlasio was pissed that funding was found in a way so as not to place another tax
on the wealthy....Which is probably all that DeBlasio wanted from this anyway.

Operation Headstart at the national level has proven over several decades and with tens of billions of dollars that pre-school has no measurable effect on academic performance at the 4th grade level. In common parlance, this is what is known as "failure." Nevertheless, Headstart moves forward uninterrupted.

But it does accomplish several things:

(1) provides free-baby-sitting services for welfare queens,
(2) provides employment for thousands of otherwise unemployable women,
(3) adds thousands to the number of government workers, who by an enormous majority, always vote Democrat.

Why would DeBlasio not want to replicate that for the entire city of NY?
