When you drive a company car, it is the responsibility of the company to assign a value to that "benefit" and report it to the IRS. The same holds true for an apartment. And it does not matter if the employee pays a bit for that benefit, rather it is for the personal use of a company car, or paying a reduced rental rate for a property.
