Anyone remember Alfonso Capone? Big Time Mob Boss who died of the clap he contacted when he was raped at Alcatraz? Yeah him, they got in Tax Evasion as well.
Conspiracy, Tax Evasion, Destruction of Tax Documents.
You can add Leona Helmsley and Wesley Snips who thought being rich and famous who thought the law did no apply to them.
Even a conviction of Tax Evasion, and Tax Fraud along Conspiracy is enough to drive the supposed empire of the Traitor into bankruptcy.
Go after his money, what little has left after losing so many lawsuits. OH yea, the Traitor ain't famous for paying his legal help either, so finding lawyer with a dummy sign around neck will be very difficult.
Yep......but show me where Trump was indicted and you just might have a point.
Your thread title has been proven wrong. Admit it and move on.
No it hasn't. They indicted one guy. They didn't indict Trump or his organization.
Wrong,
The Trump Organization and Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg pleaded not guilty Thursday to crimes related to what prosecutors called a “sweeping and audacious” scheme to avoid taxes on compensation for the CFO and other executives.
Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg were hit charges related to a scheme to dodge taxes on executive compensation at Donald Trump's company.

That's not exactly correct. The story says that the Trump Organization was indicted.....but later says they're still looking to indict the Trump Organization on criminal charges. So.....why would they say that unless they lied earlier in the story.
THE GRAND JURY OF THE COUNTY OF NEW YORK, by this indictment, accuses the Trump Corporation, d/b/a the Trump Organization, Trump Payroll Corp. dba the Trump Organization, and Allen Weisselberg of the crime ofSCHEME TO DEFRAUD IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law § 190.65(1)(3), committed as follows:
Can you read? That is the first line of the indictment.

Yeah.....they can accuse him of alot.....whether or not this implicates Trump is highly debatable.
As I laid out in the OP....they had no charges against Trump for any wrongdoing....and to be clear.....they only included Trump Org as a defendant to make this sound more serious. If anything...Trump has more of a beef against this guy than the state of New York.
No, the Trump organization was included because the organization is responsible. When you drive a company car, it is the responsibility of the company to assign a value to that "benefit" and report it to the IRS. The same holds true for an apartment. And it does not matter if the employee pays a bit for that benefit, rather it is for the personal use of a company car, or paying a reduced rental rate for a property. You can find the IRS guidelines here,
www.irs.gov
Glancing over the indictment, and reviewing the IRS guidelines, I can see a possible defense, from the exemptions
| Lodging on your business premises | Exempt if furnished on your business premises, for your convenience, and as a condition of employment. |
Problem is that Trump properties did not own the apartment, well covered in the indictment.
