Nuke the filibuster for shutdowns?

Congress having the sole responsibility to spend federal money

assuming the "minority party" is something other than 100% traitors.. which is what we have now.

The feckless Neo GOP drove our bus into a ditch and now they want the Democrats to help push our bus out. Without any discussion, compromise or guarantees that the allocated funds will not be rescinded after they are approved.

Does this Fetterman proposal make sense to you?

It does to me.
The Markets, which consists of people who vote with their money and not with their mouths or their buttholes (They're bot the same on dimocrap scum) are loving the Shutdown. The 'Total Market' is up more than 2.5% since the Shutdown. Less than 4 weeks. Which is pretty amazing considering the Fed being turdballs.

dimocraps are so stupid, they're playing right into Trump's hand.

^^^^^^^

THIS is the DEM POSITION. IT IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE.

WE'D BETTER HAVE A STRATEGY OTHER THAN "THEY'LL CAVE."

Bust the filibuster or use Martial Law. Any other options?

No. Nuke shutdowns.
I’m a little confused. Is that “no more of the shutdown?” Or is it no to the suggestion to of using the nuke option?
Congress has a Constitutional duty to pass actual budgets.
One would think. I agree.
Pass budgets and it’s not an issue.
That’s the idea. But it’s not as easy as just saying it’s the way things ought to be.
This is not a right or left issue. Both parties have decided Congress apparently has not actual responsibilities.
The creation of laws to force Congress to do its own damn job would have to come from them. It would be an amusing Catch-22 if it didn’t so clearly highlight the lack of seriousness our elected officials have for the positions we send them to DC to do.

I doubt that you, Zinc, agree with what I am about to suggest, but Mark Levin has already recommended a solution. Not an easy one. But a solution all the same.

It’s time for an Article Five Convention of the States.

To the extent that we collectively believe that we, the People, are the true sovereigns in our republic, maybe it is time to put our collective foot down.

Nuke the filibuster for shutdowns?

Absolutely not.
When the tables turn, and they always do. The filibuster will be the only tool of restraint that the then minority will have.
Whether they will have the spines to use it is another question.
Thune needs to go nuclear or Trump's agenda is over.
We know the democrats will try to end the filibuster because they tried last term, and Joe Manchin and Sinema stopped them.
Why do we have elections if the stupid senate stops the majority?

I don't like it. It would open up the doors for the Dems to pass all kinds of junk when they control the Senate. I know it says only in cases of shutdown but I ain't buying that.
Nothing will stop th dems if they take control, as it should be, "elections have consequences" unless the senate stops everything, which is not democracy.

Does this Fetterman proposal make sense to you?
'
It does to me.:
Makes perfect sense, simple majority cloture carve out for continuing resolutions related specifically to maintaining current funding levels and end this "shutdown" Kabuki Theater once and for all.

I don't think the Supreme Court will allow that. Nor should they, the Constitution is very plain about Congress having the sole responsibility to spend federal money.
SCOTUS only has the power the Executive gives it. They're all bluff. They got nothing.

And they know it.

SCOTUS is trying to be less adversarial with Trump, which is a good idea. I believe he might call their bluff if they push him too far.

Unpaid Soldiers? Bad idea. Really Bad Idea.

dimocraps are scum. ALL of them. ESPECIALLY the voters

Nope. If Thune doesn't end the filibuster Trump's agenda is done.
Even if the dems allow a CR, they will not allow the BBB to be implemented.

That was the point of the senate from the beginning. Reigning in the popular passions of the moment.

Sorry, to be clear, they need to do their jobs and pass actual budgets, thus making the issue moot.

If the deficits keep expanding, it may come to that, whether we want to or not.

I think that is a likely scenario if dimocrap scum keep up their bullshit shutdown.

If it were me (lucky it isn't) I would let them cook in their own juices. dimocrap FILTH can explain to a 100,000 paratroopers and Marines why their Wives and children don't have any money to go shopping with, to feed their kids, to put clothes and shoes on their kids.

I want to be there when Chuckie tells them that

44m people are on the ACA today. QED
Exactly. The ACA made healthcare more expensive, not less expensive.
If it was too expensive 44m people wouldn't be on it.
If millions of people have no health insurance, who pays for their medical expenses? Hint: they have no money
If they qualify.....Medicaid.
Yep. So its better to have ACA
Removing the cap would extend SS from 2034 to 2060.
What does removing the cap do to the benefits received?
If I pay twice as much as I did under the cap, do I receive double the benefit?
Removing the cap gets us 100% of SS instead of 77%.
Means test SS benefits
Meaning that even after I paid in twice as much, I get less than double, less than I received before or even nothing?
You won't pay twice as much. Stop whining.

Democrats drove the bus into the ditch.
We need to cut every dollar of wasteful spending.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

dimocrap FILTH will have to cave. We only need, what? Two or three more to cross the aisle? Fetterman did, and there will be more when the pain starts.

They'll blame Trump, of course, they'll cry like the little bitches all dimocrap scum are. But they can't take the heat.

Trump can. How much more unpopular with dimocrap SCUM can he get?? How many votes will it cst him in 2028? Plus, he couldn't give a shit about MidTerms, whcih are still a year away.

You're dead wrong.

The Lace Panty Division of the R Party never wanted the Shutdown anyway. They'd probably cave to dimocrap scum like they do every other time. But not this time. Not with Trump in Office this time. He's a different animal than he was five-9 years ago

They're getting subsidies through Medicaid. That's what a lot of this is about. The ACA took the place of Medicaid in many States. Not Florida, though.

Who it hurts here is people like my Dental Hygienist, Waiters, Waitresses, Hair Stylists, the Self-Employed contractor, etc.

The ACA was a joke from the beginning. I thought The Bastard Son of Frank Marshall Davis might have it going on but -- The Stuttering Lying ********** of a Miserable Failure was and still is a lying, thieving, piece of ******* shit dimocrap scumbag.

We had a chance to really do something with a bad situation and, like he usually does -- He blew it. pun intended.

The Swiss System is very simple and -- It works. It works very well

The statement was first shared with NBC News.

The American Federation of Government Employees represents over 800,000 federal and Washington, D.C., government workers.
