NRA says it opposes idea of banning transgender Americans from owning guns

sure if you are a biological male and transgendered and check male, is it up to the FFL to verify the validity
Actually, no it is not. You fill out the form, either digitally or hard copy, and all the FFL does is ensure all questions are answered and then send it to the state. In VA it goes to Richmond ad the state police verify it

All the FFL does it check your government issued ID against your name and address on the form and make sure you did not answer yes to felony, mentally ill, or other disqualifying questions.

Whether they are true or not is up to the state.

This is correct.

The NRA was organized well before psychotic mood influencing drugs were widely available to American citizens. Maybe the NRA is taking a stand in favor of the 2nd amendment without understanding what chemical castration and the following drugs can do to a human body and mind. Ongoing transition people are subject to crazy drugs and dependent on certain hastily concocted experimental drugs to maintain their image in society and the side effects might include thoughts of suicide (and murder?)

I would say that GOA is, as it contends to be, the only no compromise gun lobby in Washington.

It's certainly the only organization I choose to be a member of.

The NRA, at times, has acted/spoken contrary to its own proclaimed cause, so I agree with your thought there with regard to it being known to take selective stances regarding the 2nd.

Of course, they are actually correct here.

I think that fncceo pretty much nailed it there in post # 5 when he correctly stated that nowhere in the 2nd Amendment does it say or infer that it applies only to SOME Americans and not to all and that anyone who thinks differently isn't a supporter of the word and intent of the 2nd Amendment.

Particularly when placed into context with the watcher's thoughts there in post # 4

So far as the modern electorate itself goes, I see just as many (at least on here) who have adopted and bastardized the so-called ''conservative'' moniker equally calling for selective usurp of the 2nd Amendment as I do the ones who have adopted and bastardized the ''liberal'' moniker.
I chose GOA (Gun Owners of America) in lieu of the NRA because of their "No Compromise" motto. I also support the Second Amendment Foundation & the Citizen's Committee to Keep & Bear Arms primarily because they use the courts to enforce the rights of citizens when it comes to their 2nd Amendment rights.

Ironically, the very first time I ever saw a bald eagle in flight was the day I received my GOA lifetime membership card. I was pretty awed :)
