Why didn't they do so when they had the chance?

What were their higher priorities? Oh yeah...

1. 'Get Trump'

2. War on Fossil Fuels
- Forced painful 'transition' to alternate energy source that doesn't exist

3. Failed Open Border / Un-Constitutional Illegal Immigration Policy

4. Creating Inflation

5. Joe 'The Buck Stops Here' Biden blaming everyone and everything for his / thrir failed policies & agenda

6. Passing useless gun grabber legislation that will not prevent any future mass shooting ... and that will probsbly be overturned by the USSC just as it did recently to other liberal gun law

7. Inciting another atrempted assassination

8. Calling for the intimidation of and violence against USSC Justices while openly calling for actual Insurrections

9. Begging Venezuela and Saudi for natural resources in which the US is already wealthy

10. Violating the Hatch Act ... repeatedly

:p

Democrats like to create, nurture divisive issues. Solve problems / create solutions? Not so much.

It's amazing how many states instantly made abortions illegal. Over half....meaning that it was never "the will of the people " to have it in the first place.

It's just a very few, but vocal, minority.

"Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and restore the power of states to set their own abortion policies, some progressives are demanding to know: Why didn’t Democrats pass a federal law codifying Roe when they controlled the White House and had overwhelming majorities in Congress?

"Activists who insisted on holding out for a more extreme bill are partly responsible for the fact that there is no federal law establishing a right to abortion, but Pelosi and other Democrats are now promising to give them what they always wanted: Congressional Democrats and President Biden are campaigning on enacting a bill that would create a right to abortion in all 50 states through all nine months of pregnancy if they keep their House majority and increase their Senate majority by two seats in November..
"

The vast majority of Americans do NOT want a radical federally-imposed mandate for 24/7 abortions throughout all 9 months of pregnancies.

This idea is as radical and as stupid as Conservative extremist demands to outlaw all abortions, to include sitiations where the mother's life is in danger.

Extremism, which exists on both sides, is the real threat to us all.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way to where we are now, we allowed these same extremists convince us that common sense and common ground are not our friends, that true Compromise is unacceptable, and that it is no longer okay to 'agree to disagree', that 'scorched earth' / 'the politics of personal destruction' must be carried out against anyone who does not 100% agree.

And now the Repubs want to strip states rights and outlaw abortions nationwide.

Why did they not do so when they held the majority in both houses and the White House?

Could either side be more hypocritical if they tired?

Nope....
Actually they wish for overturning the Sodomy decision so states can outlaw sodomy and nullify same sex marriages.

This may shock you, but 15 is not over half of 50.

That is next.

But considering oral sex is sodomy I will just have to be content with being an outlaw.

Look again at the states overturning the laws.

It's all the "fly over" states except for Colorado. Including the rust belt and southern states.

And still 15 is not over half of 50 as you claimed.

Why do snowflakes always have to LIE?

Actually state extremist Conservatives are trying that shite while Federal Democrats and the President are the ones trying yo strip states of their legislative right to self-govern.

Neither Federal GOP nor the USSC have declared abortions are illegal....

...but don't let facts get in the way of your rant....

Thank you for proving your lied. Not over half the states, not even close.

1. Pence is NOT the Republicsn Party

2. I don't do subscriptions to read 'news'....hardly any on either side is worth paying for

Republicans have introduced bills to recognize a right to life from the moment of fertilization, legislation that would prohibit abortion nationwide. The Senate bill has 19 supporters and the House version has 164
