With all the pissing and moaning going on people tend to forget that inflation rate that has killed much of the money that many people already paid into the SS system.

The raping of the Blue Cross Blue Shield funds by the managers and CEO's should have been stopped long ago. Who was watching? Not for profits CEO'S across the country paying themselves millions upon millions of dollars every year at the expense of others health is ridiculous.

Corporates along with certain politicians taking advantage of people at every angle throughout this country is taking it down.

People unwilling to take care of their own family members is a burden on society also. Does that mean those without family members should be dumped in the streets to save a buck or two?

There are things to improve... getting to government further out and getting rid of bullshit laws that limit competition.... or access to more people with more choices by letting more groups approach health insurers and providers to negotiate group rates.. reforming malpractice law and lawsuits... the list goes on...

You'd think all those things were already in play, but one side of the political debate has done everything in its power to limit any of that for a very obvious reason: once the system self destructs, they will get their opportunity to "re-form" it.

but red tape infused government healthcare, paid for by the taxpayers and offered to those who don't even pay for it through taxation, is not the answer AT ALL...

The key to a good Samaritan is doing it of your own free will and with your heart... you wish to donate to charities (I whole heartedly suggest donating to St. Jude's as I do), more power to you... if you wish to help others with those actions I applaud you... but you, nor anyone else, is entitled to having your personal wants and needs supplied at the expense of others... you are not owed a goddamn thing.. you want it, ******* earn it

Depending on your political POV, either the good cops left the room and now the bad cops are in charge, or vice versa.

And it is not just paid for by higher premiums, or higher prices, etc.. it also, many times, is paid for by volunteer and sponsored clinics, as well as charities that people voluntarily contribute to

And no.. our system is not perfect, and yes we do have hospitals eating costs for some and making that up with higher prices for others... but there are steps to do towards improving this, without making healthcare an entitlement or having the government dip it's gubby paws in it more than it already is

And lest you not forget that now, you really DON'T have to HAVE health insurance... and if you are not paying into that, and not really having medical bills, by that voluntary action you are not really paying extra for the ones who suck off the system.... BUT, in terms of taxation, you do not avoid that at all and you WILL be paying for it whether you choose to or not

You have a hard time comprehending the abuse of power, yet you accuse only some people of doing just that. The FDA has the power to allow or deny ANYTHING ... thus they can be bribed, period. Do you think they will actually publish their bribes? They do their fees and such, which I know you can find on your own but that's not what I am focusing on here, I am focusing on you lack of understanding simple economics. The one that controls what can and cannot be sold to an entire country essentially also controls how much it costs based on how much of a bribe they take for allowing the product or service to be sold. The medical companies pay that bribe, then increase the costs of their products to pay it off, and bribes are not one time things, they continue until the company no longer sells in the country. Now I know you probably didn't even read all this, but in case you someday grow half a brain and do read this, when you think of regulatory agencies, think of the Mob.
