Red State! Amen.

The most recent Schumer Shutdown always held within it the prospect of being renewed.

And although both “sides” are allegedly inclined to work more closely with each other to avoid that brinksmanship nonsense, it isn’t difficult to foresee the negotiations breaking down yet again.

I suspect that nobody is a big fan of such shutdowns. But if the GOP is serious about controlling excessive spending, it may soon prove to be inevitable.

When Republicans control the White House, the House and the Senate, it is impossible for Democrats to shut down the government. IMPOSSIBLE.

Any suggestion that Republicans aren't totally responsible for these shutdowns is a complete joke. Furthermore, the American people didn't buy this lie for one second.

In my lifetime, the GOP has never been even remotely serious about controlling excess spending.

Never.

Richard Nixon ran a balanced budget in 1969, 57 years ago.

Trump’s first budget grew the deficit by $5 billion. And, of course, deficits grew during his first regime.

It takes a rank idiot to believe that a man who doesn’t pay his bills, defaults on his loans, and routinely runs up huge cost overruns on his own projects is going to control spending.

The man has neither the experience nor the inclination.

You fail to account for the filibuster, and deliberately so. Not surprising, but very weak.

The only time ANY of these cock swabs (R or D) care about spending is when they see the opportunity to screw over the other.

I have a way to solve this. Just convince both sides that it is in the best interest of Israel.

Shit will pass in five minutes.

But as soon as any Republicans break ranks, the math changes, as you know. So lose that fake word “impossible.”

Nope. The last one was entirely on Schumer and the Dims. As you also know. The complete joke is you expecting your tired bullshit rhetoric to work anymore.
Furthermore, the American people didn't buy this lie for one second.
You don’t get to speak for the American people. Although the leftwing apparatchik media tried valiantly to distort their “reporting,” the truth became known. It was always the Schumer shutdown.

Wrong moron, the Dems blocked it through filibuster which blocks voting on it unless there is a supermajority of 60 senators to get it past the filibuster.

It actually only takes a simple majority to pass the bill itself, but Democrats hate democracy so much they refuse to allow the vote.

Stick to your lame ass Canadian Parliament, SatanLady.

Can you shows us when Dems passed a balanced budget?

Yes, the Clinton Administration ran budget surpluses for two years, and handed George W Bush a balanced budget.

Bush promptly gave Wall Street a big tax cut, and deficits returned instantly, Ans have co tinier ever since.

It is ironic that Ronald Reagan campaigned on “out of control” spending, only to become the biggest borrower in history up to that point.

By the time this current CR runs out, we will have a handle on how much typical people on the ACA are affected by the Democrats' expiry of the COVID supplental subsidies, which will be not much. Democrats will be left to cry over entrepreneurs, artists, small business operators and self-employed professionals, like chiropractors who will be off the gravy train effective January 1.

We'll see how much appetite there really is to force waitresses, janitors, and teachers to pay for people who make over $100K without answering to a boss or punching a clock.

But I don’t dispute that the Republicans need to do better.
Of course they do.
But, they won't.......because of their fear of trump.

(R) leaders need to grow a pair, and serve their constituents, rather than cowering down to every trump vindictive instinct.

Aren't you growing tired of this unhinged juvenile trump behavior? Really.
