Non-supporters thrown out of Trump event

I can understand turning away hecklers and people you feel might disrupt the event, but this boggles my mind.

Jess Kell of Burlington was among those denied access Thursday night to the Flynn. She waited on line with a ticket, but once she made it through the first set of doors, well-dressed campaign staff wearing Trump lapel pins began to question her, she said.

“They are asking people if they’re Trump supporters,” she said. “I said, ‘I’m here to learn and listen and observe,’ and they said, ‘This is a private event, and only supporters may come in.’ And then they had the police escort me out the door. There was no chance to ask questions.”

Kell’s son, 17-year-old Burlington High School student Phineas Totten, also had a ticket to the event and arrived sporting a Donald Trump campaign button. When the Trump staff asked about his loyalty, Kell recounted, “He said, ‘Look at my button.’”

Totten was allowed inside.

Latest: Non-supporters thrown out of Trump event

Why on earth would you turn away an undecided voter? Aren't those the people you need to be winning over and coaxing into your camp? If that happened to me that would pretty much help me decide to not support that candidate.
Because she's most likely a plant.

Trump has enough votes to be nominated and lose the presidential election, which is exactly what he is planning to do.

So his strategy is in place...

If you're scared, just say you're scared...this bullshit isn't fooling anyone.

Scared of what? Trump bankrupting the country? :)
You're a bit late for that concern.

Why, he already filed the papers?
Earth to Alpine....negative contact....Earth out...

The low information mind seems to boggle easily. Hillary held her coming out campaign event on a freaking island in the East River.

Which is accessible by car and public transportation. What's your point?

well good , something for you guys to talk about PJ !!

Seeing that there was an organized effort for Bernie supporters to crash the event and try to ruin it I can see why they were leery of the undecided people. Not to mention it is a rally for his supporters and there is limited seating...somebody is going to have to go. As a supporter I'd be pissed if I was turned away and they let in some one who was undecided. Fans/supporters first in a situation like this

That meant not letting people in who were in line for over 6 hours. I wouldn't be pissed if someone were admitted if they were undecided and spent that much time in line to see the candidate of my choice. Let alone if someone was there to protest I would expect them to say they are huuuuge Trump supporters when asked.

Why would Trump lose against a FBI investigated, and probably an indicted felon as former U.S. Attorney expects.....

You really have to take care of your own FIRST in situations like this. I think any rational thinking person would understand that. They may not like it and would get upset but you have to respect the decision.

Creates an environment that is lacking in oxygen. Was the event advertised as for Trump supporters only? Could have saved some folks a lot of time.

Is this the new norm? When campaigning be sure to only preach to the choir?

EDITED: for grammar.

Who says it will be Hillary who he would be running against?

If I was a republican, I would want Hillary to be nominated....
And if I was a democrat, I would be scared of her nomination....

Maybe you should find a less biased source. The US Attorney in question has a history with the Clintons.

Even better if a 75 year old White Socialist that looks like KFC's Col. Sanders got the nod!
