I happen to believe what Winston Churchill and the British Officials in the area observed, that the poor Arabs were swarming into Israel from the surrounding countries to take advantage of the jobs offered by the Jews. Are your own eyes so closed that you don't see people emigrating to Australia for a better life? We have another difference of opinion here on this stale thread, Steve. The Jews were known as the Palestinians and the Arabs were called Syrians or just Arabs. As for Arafat, there was once a retired State Department employee posting, and he even gave the address of the place where the Russians told Arafat to call the Arabs as Palestinians. The State Department must have gotten a big chuckle out of that one. Can you tell us who were the ones who manned the Palestine booth at the New York World's Fair in 1939? I would have loved to see you call an Arab a Palestinian prior to their being invented by Arafat and the Russians because they would have considered you insulting them calling them a Jew.
