The failure of the U.S. to impose Democracy has become the slow motion train wreck that many (myself included) people who opposed the Invasion said would happen.

Politico is reporting the one of largest Oil Refineries in Iraq has been captured. Mosul and Tikrit are now in rebel hands.

Rebels have captured one of the largest refineries in Iraq.

And what do all the Righties who got it wrong in the first place want?

Bomb Iraq.

Paul Bremer, Paul Wolfwitz, Bill Kristol and the rest whose lies about Saddam having ties to al_Qeada (none), lies about W.M.D. (Weren't any), lies about "Not wanting the smoking gun to become a Mushroom Cloud" (no nuclear weapons at all) these are the people who think all the U.S. has to is bomb Iraq and everything will be milk and cookies again.

The Obama Administration adhered to a plan for troop withdrawal drawn up by bush, and Mr. Obama is attacked for it.

The Obama Administration attempted to negotiate a Status of Forces Agreement (S.O.F.A.) that would have permitted a residual U.S. Force to remain in Iraq, but the Iraqi Government did not want that. Mr. Obama is attacked for that.

Nuri Al Maliki is a Sunni leading a Sunni Dominated Government (He promised to be inclusive and failed) that has done all it can to suppress the Shiite Minority. Mr. Obama is attacked that. Al Maliki was the U.S. selected dictator. Just like Saddam was the U.S. select dictator. And just like Saddam, Al Maliki is not interested in Democracy, it's all about consolidating power and suppressing the Shiite Minority.

Major Truth Cons, you cannot impose Democracy. Democracy at the point of a bayonet is not democracy, it is tryanny.

There can be no use of U.S. Military Force in Iraq, there is no easily identifiable ally to support.

Use of U.S. Air Power is questionable at best and just some food for thought, among the U.S. Military equipment left behind are.....wait for it....Stinger Missiles. Shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles....brilliant idea that one.

There was no al_Qeada in Iraq before the U.S. Invasion.

This is you Cons created.

Live with it.

The far left would much rather see the world burn that admit they were wrong!

Typical of the far left and their programming.

And why a Status Of Forces agreement should have been hammered home. Obama Capitulated in Iraq as he is in Afghanistan.

Bush's Status of Forces agreement was implemented. With 75% support from the American people,

not to mention the fact that the Iraqi people wanted us out of there.

Now you tell us how any president would have gotten around those realties.

Currently, this is your mess. Deal with it. However, I have complete confidence that you will continue to screw it up on epic scales.

Shut the **** up, asswipe.

The US military doesn't impose "democracy," it kills off evil people like you. Your fellow scum are cutting off heads in Iraq and planning on turning Iraq into Syria II.

If it HAD you dumbfuck as was originally designed? WE wouldn't have Marines there now clearing our embassy, and protecting contractors. And tell us WHY the Iraqi Army is throwing down their weapons and running?
(For FEAR of being massacred as they ARE)?

Get off your fat ass and prove that anything I said was inaccurate.

Well, like every good Republican, I am going to wait to see what Obama wants to do. Then I will be in favor of the exact opposite and call for his impeachment. If he wants to drone bomb the shit out of ISIS, I will be against it. If he then caves in to us Republicans and doesn't bomb ISIS, I will say later he should have bombed them. Like we did with that whole Syrian situation. Same template, different day.

I'm a uniter, not a divider.

Article 24—Withdrawal of the United States Forces from Iraq

Recognizing the performance and increasing capacity of the Iraqi Security Forces, the assumption of full security responsibility by those Forces, and based upon the strong relationship between the Parties, an agreement on the following has been reached:1.All the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory no later than December 31, 2011.

That's directly from the text of the 2008 agreement. What's your problem?

More proof that the mentality of the far left is no different than a toddler.

The far left will knowingly post bunk info and expect you to prove them wrong.

Can't prove a negative.

Considering that the landscape is littered with his scandals, deception, lies and so on it probably only be prudent to do the opposite of what he proposes.

You had no problem giving air support to Libya. Obama wanted Gaddafi gone and you were in like flint with NATO.

Of course you are blind to the mountains of manufactured bullshit coming from the Right.

Idiot....Given he ***** up every time, it's safe to choose the other choice he won't make. :eusa_whistle:

My understanding is that the generals in charge wanted 10k soldiers to remain in Iraq and obama would only agree to 3k and Malaki would not agree because 3k was not sufficient.
