The current Palestinian resistance is not talking about a state. They are demanding their rights. Israel will have to work out the details.

What current 'PAlestinian' resistance would that be "

Scorched earth policy?

Do you have any problems with them dismantling everything? After all, it was built by them. They are not going to call on the IAF to pull something like Assad -- bombing towns. Would you prefer they just leave everything in place and then pull an Assad?

Yes.. I think destroying existing infrastructure is wasteful. Much of it was built with US money that made low mortgage rates and settler subsidy possible.

Most of the construction companies operating in the West Bank have US partners.

Maybe Shaarona can enlighten the readers as to which entity in the U.S. gave this money to be used in Israel. The majority of the money given to Israel by our government must be spent here in our defense industries, not for settlements. I would also be interested in knowing the names of the construction companies operating in the West Bank that have U.S. partners. Maybe Shaarona doesn't think that the Israelis are capable of setting up their own construction companies.

Those propoganda maps the PA puts out are misleading. Although the entire area of Eretz Yisroel is quite small, there is still room for a 2-state solution, if the Arabs put their greed aside.

I certainly hope, since the Arabs don't want any Jews in Palestinne, that the Jews there with the help of the Jews inside Israel dismantle all the homes, factories and whatever infrastructure that was put into these settlements and just move all the material out of this place and perhaps set it up in the Negev. After all, why should they leave all this to the Palestinians who don't want them there? Let us also bear in mind how the Gazans destroyed the greenhouses and other buildings when the Jews left so let the Jews give those in the Palestinian state a taste of the same medicine. Of course, the Palestinians, being such "industtrious people" will have jobs for those Palestinians who are now working for Jews and earning a good living.

No ‘Settlers’ Allowed in Palestinian State, PA Leaders Affirm

No “settlers” would be allowed to reside in a Palestinian state, it was confirmed this week.

Hypocrisy is defined as the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform. Apartheid is defined as a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race. Israel has been accused of hypocrisy and apartheid by many opponents worldwide, including the Palestinian leaders who are striving to gain a state that would include no Jewish “settlements” although they repeatedly refuse to recognize the Jewish state.

So many observers are noting what they see as hypocrisy within the Palestinian Authority (PA) and among Arab-Israeli parliamentarians in response to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s alleged suggestion that Israelis residing in Judea and Samaria should be permitted to remain in their homes – even if it means living in a Palestinian state.

Former PA minister Ashraf al-Ajrami said Monday that the PA does not oppose the possibility of Jews living in a future state of “Palestine” as citizens. However, he told IDF Radio, “Israeli settlements will not be allowed to remain inside the territory of the Palestinian state.”

I would assume that if the Jews could stay as Palestinian citizens that the settlements could stay as Palestinian territory. It would not make any sense for Palestinian citizens to live in Israeli settlements.

They already are. It's called "Israeli Arabs".

Don't you see the hypocrisy in the actions of the HoAP. They demand a right of return and then deny it to the Jews. So why should Israel allow the muslims to return under those circumstances ?

MORE BLOOD LIBELS from the liar OF ISLAM. The money was from the Jewish owners of the land. And if they want to destroy those settlements then that is their right, after the greenhouse fiasco what could you expect.

P F Tinmore, et al,

Yes, this is a major problem; seemingly growing worse by the day.

The biggest problem I see right now is that the West Bank is a "law free" zone. When it comes to settler violation of the law the PA is not allowed to enforce and Israel rarely does. This leads to a lot of violence.

The Israeli Government needs to get their damn act together in this regard. This burns serious reputation points. It serve no purpose, politically or security wise, for these vigilante style Settler gangs to run around like loose cannons on deck.

I see the incorporation of the settlements and their citizens into Palestine as the only just solution.

They would be able to live in their homeland without the fear of being bounced like the settlers in Gaza. I am opposed to destroying the settlements and throwing people out of their homes.

They would be allowed to live anywhere in Palestine that they want without the need to expand settlements to have a house for their kids.

I am sure that they would be allowed to go live in Israel if that is their thing.

They would have safety and security that they have not experienced in their life.

The only way that could be achieved is if every arab family gave up a senior family member as a hostage for their good behaviour. failing that having the arabs placed under Israeli rule and the IDF to act as a police force. Under an arab regime the Jews would be run out of town and their property stolen.

P F Tinmore, et al,

That is a nice thought. It certainly would look good on paper. But it would take a century to evolve into something viable.

There are a tremendous number of huddles to overcome, given the history between the two cultures. While it might be an option, I fear that they would disappear faster than the Roanoke Colony in North Carolina.

Israel had made such a mess of the place that it is hard to imagine it ever being completely straightened out.

One sided bias based on ANTI SEMITISM AND JEW HATRED again. What about the input from the hostile arabs that destroyed much of what was good

Who is saying their is going to be a Palestinian state in the West Bank ?

It's not going to happen.

Well, Sabeel will support a single or 2 state solution. What is your suggestion?

A wholly Jewish state with gaza for the terrorists, those muslims prepared to live in peace will be accepted into the nation and given full rights in line with the arabs in Israel.

The filastins lost the right to a two state solution in 1948 when they tried their old genocide trick. The UN wrote them out of history at that point and never mentioned them in any resolutions until just recently.

After the attacks in 1948 the UN took away the two state solution, and 242 says this very clearly when it does not mention the Palestinians at all.

What rights would they be then, because before they demand anything they have to give up their belligerence and terrorism.

If you look at the original plans for the partition the mandate allowed for Jordan for the arab muslims and the rest of Palestine for the Jews and Christians. But muslims being muslims they wanted everything

The Israelis understand that this Program was, from a International Law perspective, unacceptable.
It wasn't "unacceptable" to International Law, it was "ILLEGAL".

"Unacceptable" is a preference; unfortunately, there's no such thing as following only the laws you "prefer".

It doesn't need to.

What 242 does, is tell the Israeli's, to get the **** off land that isn't theirs.

As soon as you get the **** off out of America, that isn't yours, and leave it to the Mestizos and remaining indians.

Want me to help you pack?
