Former Trump campaign adviser pleads guilty to lying to FBI

One of President Trump's former advisers from his presidential campaign has pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents investigating allegations of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Monday .

Trump said Vladimir Putin is "not going to go into Ukraine, OK? Just so you understand, he's not going to go into Ukraine."

Of course, Russia did go into Ukraine when it invaded Crimea two years ago and backed separatist fighters in other parts of the country. Trump later said that he meant Putin would not go into Ukraine on his watch, if he were President.

It was more difficult under Obama when he did things like open up White House visiting logs to the press. Since Trump, they've been closed.
