Kind of interesting, right, I watched a video the other night that ranked all the States. They ranked Nevada low because California's Exodus led to a cost of living explosion. I can tell you all about it, they take up perhaps most of the best homes here. My place has been bordered by former Ca. and they buy BIG STUFF, we're talking pools, RV garage, 500K landscape in progress just down the street from me.. Former Ca. take up the LION"S SHARE of new homes here as well, by FAR. I paid 236, today it's 800, and can use a facelift. My highest mortgage with tax/insurance was 100s < the current cost of an apartment.

I never thought I'd see the day a mortgage is cheaper than rent. All someone has to figure out is 20% down. Only a very few natural citizens of today's generation can afford that without the financial help of their parents.

I like a few towns. Placerville for instance, seems nice and peaceful. Was in Monterey a few weeks ago, great if you can afford it. BTW, rent in a dump starts around 2K. Gas is a buck more than anywhere else I can think of. Income tax, this tax, that tax. People aren't friendly, primarily. So California voided my Fourth Amendment years before they started on the Second. I left the state two weeks later and never will return.
My wife loves the beaches and returns every couple years, without me. Last time she went with my daughter who was standing by her truck with an unlit cigarette and given a ticket for smoking. The cop said he smelled it. So now Cal has smell police. What really teed me off is the two went to the court and paid the $100 fine. 65 was the speed limit. Everybody going 75 to 80 except my friend with Arizona plates going 70. Guess who the CHP pulled over and gave a speeding ticket for 5 mph over? F#@k California. I wouldn't go back even if it was part of an army to give the people back their freedom. The population is as stupid as tree stumps to let punks as their worthless governor rob them of their basic rights. They don't know their rights, so they have none.
San Francisco was given the Presideo Army base, a prime piece of property to be made a city park. What it became was upper middle-class houses built by Pelosi queer loving husband. What did the people of SF do? They re-elected her. A whole forest of tree stumps and only getting worse.
My hometown was Vallejo. where Mayor Island Navy ship building yard was. Since Clinton closed that base it has hit the city hard. It has two large dry docks. When the state decided the reserve fleet, parked in the straights was destroying the environment. Instead of towing those ships five miles to those dry docks they re-painted those ships and towed them to Brownsville, Texas to have them scraped
When crops were dying in the field and no one could water their lawn Cal was still dumping half their fresh water into the bay. It was to save a fish not native to the Sacramento River called the Smelt. A few months later they spent a lot of money to do a count on the Smelt. The count was one. That's one Smelt. This is the kind of crap you can't make up. Again, f@#k California, welfare capital of the shit holes.
