No, I do not see a WWIII in our future coming out of this. As we speak, a bunch of other countries are finally responding and sending stuff down to the Gulf to help out. This really puts Iran in the hot seat.
I suppose Trump could be criticized for his video remarks--- yes, he did get 8 other wars ended. He is working on Gaza which would be #9, and he keeps pushing with Ukraine which would be #10, but the Iran thing, Trump could be criticized for it, he probably should have said that he will not start a war nor get America into any new wars if at all avoidable and just left it at that. I mean, it takes two to create a war and a president can never guarantee what another country will do, so probably should never promise no wars because, as they say, shit happens.
But Trump really did not /start/ a new war with Iran, Iran was already at war with us for 47 years and inching ever closer to nuclear capability. Maybe this is something Trump only found out about once in office.
Maybe Israel knew of an opportunity to take out all 50 top leaders and commanders in Iran back at the start of this and it was an opportunity Trump could not pass up. Thing is, we are committed now.
Either way, it appears this Iran conflict was one Trump neither really wanted nor started, but got dragged into addressing, probably through issues that the public will never fully know about.
I suspect the meeting with China going on right now will play a big role in the war's resolution.
