What the Dems wanted was to undo some of the stuff in the BBB with it, and extend the covid aca bailouts to big insurance they set to expire in December.

None of which had anything to do with the CR. Now the dems caved, and the GOP seems willing to do what they said they'd do for the start, and that's discuss extending the bailouts
