So we don't have the money to help people with health insurance premiums, or to pay for food stamps or free school lunches, but we will have enough mony to run an entire country until such time that Trump is satisfied with the transition. Here we see a blatant use of the military to remove a man for the oil in a country.... Again.

Martin Luther King called it over fifty years ago; “A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom.”

Trump says the U.S. will 'run' Venezuela until a transition can take place

The U.S. is “going to run the country,” Trump said of Venezuela at a news conference today, following the U.S. capture of his South American counterpart.

“We are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transitions,” he said. “So we don’t want to be involved with having somebody else get in and the same situation that we had for the last long period of years.”

“We’re there now,” he added. “So, we’re going to stay until such time as we’re going to run it essentially until such time as a proper transition can take place.”

The Chavez-Maduro model has been tried and failed. It was replete with economic disaster and egregious human rights abuses; not to mention, stealing an election.

I am hopeful and optimistic that the future holds prosperity and freedom for the people of Venezuela.

As expected the leftists on this board are outraged a dictator has been removed. They hit the streets with their 'No Kings' protests, and then turn around and show us time and again how much they love kings.

When Noriega was taken out in Panama, it was legal, and this pretty much mirrored
what happened in Panama.
Have a good day, and welcome to the board whoever you are, or were.
I guess you're using a funhouse mirror. Bush notified Congress. "Pretty much" doesn't make it legal. Following the law makes something legal.

I'm not saying it's not legal because I don't know and neither do you.

Whoever I am or was? Not sure what that means. I've always been me
It wasn't unlawful. :eusa_whistle:

I didn't say it was unlawful, dear. You're just pretending I did.

Treated like liberators on day one. That is to be expected. Let’s see in the months to come.

Attn liberals: It is LEGAL to go and get someone who has been indicted in a US federal court.
Thats the problem. Its legal... by US law? Well then you aren't saying much, other than saying a US grand jury can declare war on another country, because we say it can.

Not a great standard.
